The sad thing is that none of the broadcasters profiled or interviewed the victims of his crimes and their families. Nomfundo’s death is just a small detail in what has been Thabo Bester’s glamsrous story. This is so sad, we send love to the victims and their families .May Nomfundo Tyhulu rest in peace. She would have been 38 years old this year.

Thabo is one of the many cases of how systems continously crumbles the future of many vibrant and intelligent generations. No one would be able explain how hard his struggles was. No one would be able to understand what happened inside of him. (How the monster was created). It is explicitly a childhood ordeal. What is life? When you are been denied the key to basic life, parental guidance & care ...where do you run to when the systems shut the door off you?. There are many cases of undocumented children, of course the future bleaks except for intervention. Many children are being denied and continuously denied not only the right to education but also the right to thrive in a complex and competitive world. The system needs overhauling to protect and safeguard the future generations

This case has opened quite a lot in our societies in terms of what we need to correct.from Thabo's mother as a rape victim;social services need to come up with a plan especially when the outcome result is a pregnancy ( from the clinic or hospital where the delivery will take place: need for serious councelling sessions) issue of a child disadvantaged by the society because of parents irresponsibilities; check now all those street kids we have and are becoming criminals tomorrow. not talking much of our correctional services where people are supposed to come out rehabilitated to rejoin the society. Nowadays companies are getting work force from prisons where inmates are doing some manufacturing within the prison and getting paid so after their sentences they can claim the money and start a new life. It is really a learning curve for all of us.

In the first conviction of Thabo Bester his sentencing shouldn't have been that extreme as social services where required to investigate if he has any psychological issues or any childhood trauma. The findings where that he was of sane mind and had no mental issues unfortunately his upbringing shows that a monster was created. He could have been something judging from his intellectual capacity no person of low iq and without gut could pull all these stunts off. The law needs to balance as those who are hurt , hurt others.

  • @raucillamarsh

I totally agree. His sentencing was extreme, apparently that time he had legal aid and we all know those lawyers simply don't care, they just there to get payed. This story has just touched my soul. Thabo just needed love from the mother that told to journalist that someone wanted Thabo and if she knew his was going to be naughty like this she would have given him to the person that wanted him when he was still a baby. I think she should have given him to those people, he would have been a better person. Sentencing people to 60 years in prison is not the answer, these kind of people just needs deliverance and healing, rehabilitation is what prisoners need because no one on this earth was born without a purpose and even those that was conceived out of rape, there is a reason why God allowed that child to be born in the world. All he needed was love and support. I still believe there is hope for him, no one is to bad to become good. God delivers and restores.

@@reabetsweimanmoabi7911 Your statement is not entirely accurate. While entrepreneurship can help create new job opportunities, unemployment is a complex issue that cannot be solely attributed to the actions of entrepreneurs. Governments have a crucial role to play in creating an environment that fosters job creation, such as investing in education and training programs, providing incentives for businesses to locate in certain areas, and implementing policies that encourage job growth. Furthermore, unemployment can be caused by a variety of factors, including economic downturns, changes in technology, and global competition. It is not solely the responsibility of entrepreneurs to solve these issues. While entrepreneurship can be a part of the solution to unemployment, it is not accurate to say that unemployment is solely an entrepreneurial problem and not a government problem. We always say that people have a choice, however for some people "Choice" is a privilege...

I fully agree that his up bringing has a lot to do with these crimes, thabo needed to belong ,he needed a stable home ,he. Needed to be loved, he never got these ,his mother why she didn't arrange for his papers,?????I think subconsciously this mother hated this child because of the way he was conceived, but then she should have aborted rather than leaving him on the streets to be raised by different people, my question is where was she,?????I will never support what thabo has done but at the same time my heart bleeds for him,he wanted to be noticed ,he wanted to be recognized he needed his mother but she wasn't there for him,he raised uhimself up actually. It's only God who can do the impossible in this man.i hope he will accept Jesus Christ in jail before he dies, honestly only His Father God in Heaven is The only one who can remake thabo to be the person He created him to be. As For nandipa I don't have words to say, only that she too needs Jesus Christ The True Son of God, before its too late because right now I can assume that Nandipa doesn't want to live at all.

Bester may have charmed Nandipha but Nandipha was more charmed when she learned all this wild things that Bester did. She jumped into this opportunity to explore and experience the wild life she's been dreaming about, and she was ready to jump in board to team up wth Bester. Then she started coming with her brilance mind to tell Bester how he can escape prison. What if Dr. Nandipha is a real criminal behind Bester's actions? What if she's the psycho behind all these saga? She saw Bester's venerables and used him. How did Nandipha father get involve? Nandipha has relationship with her father not Bester. How did she convince her father to get involved? I'm saying this after seeing the video of Nandipha eating her salad calmly when she was conftronted about the car she abandoned at Zim borders and outstanding payment.

My hope is that Thabo and his Mom go for therapy because the both of them are deeply wounded, they need joined and individual therapy. I t truly believe that the Mother abandoned or gave him up because the child would somehow remind her of how she was violated and how the child came to be. It might be that Thabo found out at the of 17 that he was a product of rape then he decided to run away from home and probably fell in the wrong hands who introduced him to crime essentially. He obviously grew up with a lot of hate and anger in his life hence he became the monster that he is today, he was rejected by his Mother and had no positive role model or a figure to look up to in his life. They both need to find healing, forgive one another and most importantly they both need to deal with their traumas. It is my wish that the Mother visit him in prison going forward and encourage, support him he needs to know that he is loved and that he is seen. He needs to be rehabilitated in the form of therapy so that by the time he comes out of jail after 30 years he comes out a better and changed human being . For as long as they dont deal with his childhood traumas there is no going forward he will even be a worse monster that what we are seeing. He looks to me like someone who is capable of being remorseful so there is definitely hope there.

For all those saying, "he chose to, he chose to...", let's take a moment to consider that (though I hate to phrase it like this) he was a product of r*pe. That means that some guy out there, saw it good and well to violate his then young mother. He had some sick twisted pleasure causing her that type of pain, then disappeared into the dark. It takes a very disturbed individual to do such...this guy; his genes run in Thabo's blood. Am I saying that all that are "products of r*pe" will grow up and do that exact same thing? No, am I saying, however, in this particular case, the factor carries significant weight. Thabo says he himself was also assaulted in like manner, growing up....from mere observation, people who have endured such a trauma and not gone through the necessary healing do not have healthy s*xual interactions....so, there's that. Is that any excuse for his actions? Not in the least.... Then there's the fact that his mother wasn't around. That is a painful thing for anyone to live with. And his mom; imagine falling pregnant from such an ordeal...the trauma of the crime alone, is enough to make anyone want to do certain things...then finding out that you are carrying a child because of it😢😢😢 How does a woman hold that baby in her arms and not feel angry, hurt, disappointed, etc etc? That child is a constant reminder of what was done to her.... Back to Thabo "choosing"....if those factors weren't bad enough, what about everything else that's been detailed concerning his formative years....and everything else that hasn't? Yet, in the same breath, what about his victims? What about justice? Look, my opinion; he did the crime so he must do the time....but that can't be the big win. Sadly, the families of his victims will never get their daughters back...nothing will ever be the same. We can only wish them healing. There is no win here. Let's take a step back, as society and look at this matter from as many directions as possible. What if you had known young Thabo personally when he was growing up? What if at some point, you were friends...and later found out that he was a very disturbed individual. Would you have helped? Turned a blind eye? Would you have done something to lessen the chances of there being another Thabo Bester case? If so, what would you have done.... 😢😢😢healing to everyone hurting Wisdom to those handling the case Healing for SA
