Works but when you leave the screen for a little while it drops to 60 again, you have to touch the screen again to make it up to 120 hz

@@ssss333sss is your phone updated with the latest MIUI 14 Android 13? The update fixed a "bug" where the wouldn't use the 120hz-144hz even if you set it to be locked on that refresh rate, like even on KZread it was at 60hz before. Now it's working as intended, with COD mobile or other apps, something that I was doing to get around this problem was by use gestures to navigate the system instead of the buttons, and when I was inside game I just do a swip to let bar gesture show up (as you were to leave the app) but did it just one time so the app won't close and by doing that the refresh rate would adjust it to 120hz and the fps inside the game would increase to 90fps

It works for me but on my redmi 10 5g , it's a 90hz solid. Permanent for now, in games in ytube ,everywhere. Thanks man ☺️

Probably just those games can't support more hz or your phone has a limitation for overheating. Try disable game mode..

Well I have a different problem. When I play a video on youtube the refresh rate goes down to 30fps. It doesn't matter if my refresh rate is set to 60 or 120. But when i switch to 720p60 or 1080p60 the refresh rate shows 60. Is there a solution? This started to happen after i updated to miui14 Sorry for my English

Correct, if your device doesn't have hardware for variable refresh rate you can't enable that.

hey so i did everything you did and have my refresh rate set to 90 (maximum hz redmi 11 supports) but when i opened the app the setting u told had to be changed wasn't even set to 90 by default but to 60 instead, so i tried setting it to 90, didn't work, and then set it to 1 as you said and it still doesn't work, whenever i open any other app it just goes back to 60, any help?
