the mode he is talking about is , in Indian classical called as Raag or Raga/Ragam . And we have a mind boggling variety of them !! atleast about 300-400 of them !

Its not Doss. It is Das (dasan in Malayalam )which means disciple. Yesudas is the correct pronunciation, not yesudoss or jesudas
