Very informative. My car has done 220,000 miles on the original glowplugs and still starts fine. They last a lot longer than they used to do in old diesels.

tbh bosch like to make unkillable things, their motors are pehenominal, glow plugs are no exception.

Yes because if u compare older version of diesel glow plug tips vs modern diesel glow plug tips the thickness is very different. Older ones are much thicker which means they last longer

In 2013 I used in my bmw e39 530d 6x new bosh glowplug, in 2024 I replaced them and found out 2 our of 6 were bad, but after 200000km I think thats a good score, now I installed Beru brand because that was original since 2002 until 2013.
