I wouldn't expect anything less from a mini PC. That one just looks like a retro beast! Gamecube is also an old system after my own heart. So many good memories. I am currently finishing up Metroid Prime Remastered and I hope more Gamecube games get that "all-star" treatment. Thanks for the review and you always look like you are having way too much fun!!!

Just bought their slower 5560U version and I LOVE it. The only drawback I find are the plentiful odd BIOS options. I wished they'd simplify that a bit. That said, I can even play Cyperpunk 2077 on it (on linux) at low resolution. Among all the different mini PC makers of China Beelink is #1 I think. I put Windows 10 on it (and ubuntu linux) though instead of 11. I love playing older stuff like Shogun Total War, Factorio, Sins of a Solar Empire (which ran a lot smoother on linux), World of Warcraft, Plants vs. Zombies :) And on dosemu Settlers and Ascendancy. I imagine it'll be a lot better on the 7735HS version, so will keep an eye if they're ever on special.

Windows 11 definitely made this pc a bit snappier imo. I was reluctant at first but it seems to be the right choice atm.

@@jimbotron70 Looks like a magnetic connector of some sort. If you had the power supply fail you'd probably be best of salvaging the cable if it was in decent shape.

My question would be how it handles CRT Filters and more resource intensive ones like CRT Royale on Super Nintendo. Would love to take this and output to 4k on some nice scanline filters

I like the convenience of emulating older systems like PS2, and Dreamcast that would otherwise be expensive if you tried to get orignal hardware with installed mods, also there are rare games and newly developed indie games you can download. While I did get into it in recent years, it didn't stop me from buying original ntsc SFC and N64 systems because they aren't expensive unboxed and in some cases they beat emulation in terms of compatibility and overall experience. The hyperkjn clone systems are pretty good aswell.

Awesome but not there yet for all high end emulation still need a dedicated GPU

I picked up the GTR7 Pro (AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics 4.00 GHz) and performance of that is mindblowing.

If you want to emulate everything at 1080p with up to x4/x8 Native internal, x16 ANISO and everything else maxed in emulator, all you need is a SER5 (5600/5800x), But!.. if you want to play HOTD Scarlet Dawn at max (teknoparrot), then this will prob give you the boost it needs (I found a solution for this, by using a pre-config ini file that lowers graphics). If you want to play current games and a desktop replacement at 60FPS (FSR, medium/high) then this is it for $270+ more than SER5. Great job Wicked you're the best.

hi! it seems like you know your stuff and your profile pic confirms that impression! can i ask you something? I'm looking for a mini pc that i can hook up to my 1440p monitor to emulate games on (up to ps2 and gamecube would be great). But i also want to take it to my friends to hook it up to a pc for local coop sessions. this would be a 4k tv though as far as i know. My question : would the ser6 max be enough to run games up to ps2 and gamecube on a 4k tv? or would i need to reduce the resolution a lot. and can i connect 4 bluetooth controllers to this pc?

I only have a SER5, though the performance is not leaps and bounds, but at 4K (in emulators, resolution is always uneven numbers so you don't get exactly 4k), then the more CPU performance the better for increasing Internal resolution, but the gamble is that you wont get much out of it though since a lot of games and emulators req. a set of instructions to run properly. take PS3 for exmp; it req. a native PS3 resolution always... you can stretch it with wide screen hacks or go Full/Windowed but even then ticking on one of those in a finnicky game and it might not even boot. so more power is good, but there's a point of diminishing returns. If you just want retro to modern retro, then SER5 and up! (or Minisforum equivalent)... just don't buy anything below those specs. SER5 is baseline.

@@PabloLopez-tz2zq SER5 5600X or 5800X will do just fine, including PS3. If you want to play PC games with more settings on high than medium then go for SER6 or misinform equivalent. Think of it this way, SER5 is the baseline for playing retro anything and PC games with compromises in fidelity, anything more powerful is just a bonus for PC fidelity. Keep in mind tho, SER5 needs a 2.5 HDD/SSD, bought separately since it only comes with one SSD with only 500GB.

As these machines do not come with emulators or, say, 60,000 games pre-installed, how do you go about adding that stuff? where do you find it, and is it massively time consuming? I assume you don't have to add a game at a time?

Im amazed how this box can run games so smooth. Also how you connect the power supply to the box is the best 👍👍™️

It also supports PD with a 100 watt USB-C if so desired. And can support up to 4 displays.

Emulation is the way to go for these powerful Mini PCs thats what its for tbh 😅

Apparently there is an adapter from Bee-link to use a 2.5“ SSD instead if you want. Though NVMe for an add-on makes more sense. Just got the system a few days ago and really liking it!

For sure! I run pcsx2 nightly build and GoW will run at 2k np. I have very short pauses during transition loads but 100% would reccomend this mini. Also ps3 is super nice as well!

Just getting into game emulators with an off the shelf cheap box to learn more about it. Seen a few of your videos with much more up to date emulators.. Running great on the mini pc. Is there a go to place to get setup with these emulators and games. Have you got a full tutorial on setting up a box from the basics through to being up a running. Thank you.

By giving you the information to obtain theses ROMs it gives off the the look that these content creators are condoning the act of piracy. That being said I don't give two shits about what Nintendo thinks or any other developer thinks... F them call it what you want (IF) I could take the time to research this subject I would without any reservations.

How would you describe the fan noise? Is it fairly loud?

How is their warranty and support compared to other mini PC companies?

Amazes me that they designed the hard drive placement horizontally across the fan instead of placing it say vertically to the left of fan (17:15) and added a extension cable of some sort if the engineering didnt allow the ssd port to be placed elsewhere. I dont have a good feeling about covering up fans like that, even partially.

PS3 runs great on this native resolution. Always check the list if your favorite game you want to emulate works with the emulator.

Does this have the original nes games on it? I’m looking for something that has contra, all the castlevania games and Zelda etc… plus I didn’t see it come with a controller, did I miss that or do you have to order a certain kind?

Basic emulation those cheap 50usd boxes are great. PS2 and above mini pc is the way to go.

The N100 is really limited for gaming, probably ok for GameCube and older. But nothing much newer than that. If you are looking for a budget mini PC, step up to the 5060U for not much more in cost. You may also want to get a system that can support an eGPU which the N100 chipset doesn't.

Psx use swanstation in retroarch and use pcsx2 nightly build standalone for ps2. Runs phenomenal imo

Yes it plays switch very nicely on yuzu nightly builds. Takes some tinkering but with vulkan backend I get VERY playable results

I think now is the time to stock up on them, since the Chinese economy just fell over and they are about to have a change of leadership. You might be unable to get them so cheap in future. I have two previous similar ones so I will pass on these, but I have to say they're great budget PC's generally if you don't mind the graphical limitations. For emulation and stuff they're great!

I hate how software developers have "English United States" as a language option. There's no such thing as United States English. There's English and there's not English. There are different ways to go to. Ali-Express ... different stores. Different veriations. If I say in the video it's 800usd and 1 year later they discounted them to 600usd. People will keep hunting me for the price I say'd it wrong or different in this video 😂
