Umarra is an Emu who was left alone on a farm. She was found with no food or water hiding her head away. Mia rescued her and brought her home. It took her some time to adjust but once she did, she just broke out of her shell completely. By day she spreads love and joy and by night she protects her chicken siblings from racoons.

Most birds mate for life.. how can people be so cruel to seperate the two.. it's a crime against life. I've seen birds die of a broken heart after losing their mate... I'm happy you found her and gave her life back 💗

I am an Aussie and I thank you so much for rescuing and loving this Emu. So wonderful.
I watched this video several times. I love how he went from being withdrawn to being flambuoyant!! I laughed like mad. I love how he looks when he runs around. He's a scream!! And I love how he looks when you hug him, as if he's just basking in your love. He looked dreamy. You're so lucky to have this life, and he and all the other animals are lucky. Thanks for this video. Title says her, but everyone is calling the Emu a male. I know I am goofy for feeling like I am misgendering a emu. But over sensitive is what I have alway been. 😅

A bit confused here - b/c the vid clearly refers to Umarra as a *he/his* ...- but the title and description says *she/her* ... Sad that he was left alone-abandoned on that 'hobby farm' ... And also - separated him from his life-long mate. Unbelievable how thoughtless/cruel people can be. ... But it's good to know he's in good hands right now ... Hope one day - maybe he & his ex-mate can be reunited for play-dates/etc - in the future.
They need to change the title to him not her, that is the reason he is nice, most female emus I have known are not that nice even to male emus, it is the males that are friendly, I have only known one friendly female emu.
Certain "hobbists" need close up and personal w JAIL. SO SO SO glad for him.
