I'd have to hear his side to know what occurred. I have seen plenty of instances where small contact (such as a push) was mischaracterized as a punch for dramatic effect. Slamming a head against a dashboard is different from placing it there and holding it there (although both are likely excessive/ wrong). Either way, I have no reason to believe the story was as gruesome as they detailed. Plus the intention seemed to be in the right place. How many illiterate or uneducated minorities are out there, particularly blacks. The first thing they say is "fatherless home" and throw shade at the hole parental unit and proclaim us as undisciplined, etc. Then a guy is holding a kid to a standard (albeit likely the wrong mechanism) but it's better than the kid becoming a dropout turned gangster turned felon.
