@PaceyMUFC at the end when a battle is won or lost, when the statistics screen comes up, in the bottom right i think it is theres a thing to click which says 'save battle replay'

@Zombie1854 I think those are Hessian Line Infantry. You can recruit those in the campaign in your American Colonies, I think.

I find it interesting on how tactics were different back then compare to today's tactics of war.

Um, i take these videos with fraps. You can save your battle replays from the camera button that comes up after battle is over. And only other people with empire: Total war can watch those videos :) Check your documents and settings, and my games file from there

can i ask why such small unit frontages seems a bit pointless and how come the men up near the barn were left to die could easily have saved them other than that not bad though. awesome graphics btw

I enjoyed reading the spat between Kingdomsofficial and Sideshow111. The irony is, what Kingdomsofficial is castigating the British for, the US are doing now, and giving the same reasons for doing it. The British nation were hated then, the American nation are hated now. The only difference is that the British nation were enriched by it, the American nation however are being impoverished by their adventures, private companies however are doing rather well out of it....

actually in every major war for the past 200 years soldiers from all over the commonwealth fought for britain, the canadians had several WW1 battalions in the trenches, gurkas from nepal fought for us, soldiers shipped in from australia and new zealand, britain has always had the commonwealth to help, personally i dont think we need to ally with usa, a country that talks about trying to stop terrorism but funds the IRA for 20 years, a country that thinks its ok to invade other countries

@JammyBullet96 At the height of the British Empire Britain owned 1/4 of the world. They didn't put half as much resources and troops into it as they could have. They had loads of other problems, India, South Africa, Australia etc. We let America go because we didn't think it was as important as some of our other ventures. But hey there's nearly 400million stubborn Americans so we're fighting a losing battle.

without America, it would of been the same except a slightly tougher time of regaining Europe, and we wouldn't of had the cold war afterwards. As for Japan, you did beat Japan, which stopped Europe trying a huge over-seas war to help out Russia, so on that front you helped.

at the point of the american revolution britain ruled over a 4th of the world so holding on to a few colonies in the west werent there many priority, Britain owned a massive strip of land in Africa where diamonds were mined and also India which included pakistan aswell and australia, newzealand several chinese and asian cities

@J0RDSKI Advantages for NTW: Stick to history. Lots of Napoleon's battle include Austerlitz. Attrition in Snow or Desert. Historic Campaign such as Italian, Europe and Egypt. Many units for France such as Old Guards and Guard seaman. Ironclad added. Advantages for ETW: Stick to history, Many countries (As you said). 3 world (America, Europe and India) 2 Indian nations and USA for you. A USA Independent revolution campaign. You don't need to worry about attrition. Much more melee unit than NTW!

the dutch did build the first most successful town in north ameica but it was taken over by the british a was renamed new york, the first settlers were british but all of them were either killed by disese or the natives

@nate045 You're kidding, right? I'm not trying to downplay the arguably primary role of the British and the immense sacrifice of the Russians, but "came in at the end of the war?" It started in 1939, U.S. entered in 1941, war ended in 1945. The U.S. fought the Japanese from the beginning AND the Germans for four years. They fought in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, and Germany as well as the entire Pacific. BTW, supply in modern industrial warfare IS winning the war.

@MrLhrock well i think its funny that the village i live in (11000) people is like 700 years older than you, and telling him to take a history class, and ur country is like 250 years old, and britain is nerly 1000 years old that backfires and when ur like, 'we won the battle of idependance because we're awsome, we had to go half way around the world with nothing more than wind and u could stay put, and that you have u, france, dutch and spain and we have us, Cherokee and the Iroquios

@katpuz01 its ok, theres alot of stuff in history you don't hear about when it comes to some countries, though thats not the case with britain which is why when people think of the british empire nowadays they think 'evil sods' lol, cause were too open about the bad sideof our history, but america is 1 of the countries which won't mention parts of there history which looks bad, such as when the union army was formed, they tried to invade canada and failed.

Facts right time. Very few British born fought in the War of Independence. It was fought largely between colonists who either wanted to remain part of the empire, or wanted independence. It was more of a civil war than a war between nations. There were many factors contributing to the eventual defeat of the British and Loyalists. The Revolution would have failed if it had been Britain's only problem. The only reason we were able to win was because of France providing us with money, troops, and nearly our entire navy. And the fact that Spain was at war with Britain as well. With all of their other colonies under attack and the British isles themselves twice were at the mercy of France and Spain's navies. So the Revolution became secondary. Trust me I'm in AP US history.

why were the british formations so deep?

scotland rebelled twice 700 years ago and 400 years ago and scotland has been a loyal part of britain ever since, we gave india its independence there was no war, part of ireland still belongs to britain and there was no war there, canada was given its independence by britain along with south africa, australia and new zealand, if it werent for britain none of these countries would exist, at one point britain ruled a 4th of the world ( where is the native american religion then )

like i said, you helped. britain attacked two parts, america attacked two parts, and canada, a british colony at the time attacked one part. that way we BOTH took france and we BOTH pushed westwards. It wasn't your land or country so you could hardly take everything yourself. thats what i mean by helping regaining a foothold. and as for russia invading europe before the UK did, thats aload of shite as that never happened.

I don't believe so, the French were there before the British were. And even if they were there as early as you suggest, they would have been English not British due to the Act of Union not being in place until 1707.

just gonna clear everything up... yes america did help us during the end of WW2, but WW2 wouldn't have happened if america wasn't trading with the nazi's throughout the beginning of the war, providing them with the materials and stuff, don't see that in school history books.

@nate045 True! Americans supplied Brits and Russians and let them do the fighting from 1939 till 1942. Without Pearl Harbour they wouldnt have done nothing. Stalin was asking for a second front in Western Europe From 1941.
