I lost my mother, 3years ago, so I know the feelings all too well. From this video I feel Sam’s father suffered for many years, therefore while you love that person with all your heart, it’s very hard to see them constantly go through it. Love the song but realize i have a lot of blocked feelings about my own dad who passed away at 45! I wish i could have told him how much i loved him and what a great job he did as a father! Sam's love for his dad is very evident in his song! So is yours and i hope you find that special moment where you can tell him in words! Loved your reaction ❤

Totally understandable. It's 2nd nature to ignore or block out things that are too hard for us.

Thank you - this was so real and important. I think a lot can feel invisible, important conversations, expression or even just acknowledgements verbal or written are important for us all. this was a truly great night i have to say, nobody would have blamed Sam or blinked if he'd have rescheduled but I think it was important for him and his dad though HOW he got through I'm in awe of! I was there, one of the lights in top tier and whoa man....we all felt it all night but super super special to be respectfully silent for him 5000 people - was very very special and one I could not have missed! Sam is amazing

I was at this gig and this performance is something I won't forget for a long time. I don't think anyone expected Sam to perform this song but when he came on for his encore and started talking we knew and the whole room was filled with love for him.

Smart putting emotional in the title. Knowing your reactions and how it hit me. Woof.

I love and hate these beautiful songs... I love them because they unlock all the things i have repressed and help me process... But its so hard to make the decision to face them.. Facing your emotions, recording them and sharing is so powerful and important, thank you. I love Sam and his music and grim rhe moment he told us about his dad i just wanted to do anything to help show support.... These artists help us do much through their own vulnerability... ❤
