*EMOTIONAL & RAW* POSITIVE UNMEDICATED BIRTH VLOG | Long Labor & FAST Birth of Our Second Child
I'm so excited to share our positive, unmedicated birth vlog! This was one of the most special days of our entire lives because it brought out precious son, Calvin, into the world. Doing a natural labor and delivery was so special and empowering. I'm so grateful that I was able to have my second unmedicated hospital birth center birth while surrounded by an incredibly supportive team. I hope you enjoy this birth vlog! Hi Grace!!! I’ve been following you since you were pregnant with ivy. I’m not sure if you remember but I shared a while back on your Mother’s Day video that I really hoped it would be the last one for us without a baby. I just wanted to hop on and say that we are happily almost 29 weeks along with our double rainbow baby after a year and a half of trying. Watching you give birth to your second baby brings my heart so much happiness and joy. 💕 congrats to your sweet family and I wish you guys all the happiness 💕

You did incredible mama! My daughter is 7 weeks old today and before I went into labor with her, I saw your labor video with Ivy. It was your video that I realized that remaining calm looked like it helped. Sure enough, I realized that saying “ow” doesn’t help at all! Breathing techniques and Phil 4:13 helped me the most! You inspired me ❤

Thank you for posting the whole process of your birth. I've had off and on prodromal labor for several days now and it's like you get trained to doubt every contraction. I relate so hard to you going in and feeling silly because you get sent back home. But of course we know we can't be pregnant forever! I love watching your births, I hope to mimic their calm, peaceful atmospheres 🥰

Wow! How do you stay so calm during your whole birth when it’s so intense? I would love to know, I really struggled to remain calm in my first birth and I’m currently 39 weeks with my second, you are unbelievable during labour and birth xx
@gracelavon
Жыл бұрын
Aw thank you! It can be hard to stay calm. For me it’s all about mind over matter! I try to keep in mind that even though it’s intense, the pain is purposeful and there’s nothing wrong! And also having a lot of coping techniques ready to go! Like the water, position changes, breathing, etc. Best of luck to you!💕
thanks for sharing!❤

I didn't! Just did a ton of research ahead of time. :)
I had a similar experience, the second was so different from the first.
Hi!! I’m curious about what your birth plan was like, especially having your first birth still so fresh in your mind! And having both be hospital births. How did you prepare for the birth this time?
@gracelavon
Жыл бұрын
Hi! My plan was almost exactly the same as the first time around! Things looked a little different with this birth with the labor being so long and pushing being so quick though. Honestly I didn’t do a ton to prepare this time since the coping techniques I used during my first birth were still so fresh in my mind!
From a fellow boy mom, when your hubby said “he never stops moving” 🤣🤣 and he never will.

I love that you labored without an IV or attached fetal monitors. Did they give you any push back when you declined?

Nope! I worked with RN midwives and they were really supportive of my birth plan for minimal interventions.
that man loves you so much. I'm 33 going on 34 weeks and I hope my babydaddy helps me how your man's helped you ❤

Did it hurt when the nurse or doctor broke your water
@gracelavon

No, just felt a little odd.
Congrats! And, I like the black dress/gown you wore. Hospital gowns are so unattractive. Another nice thing was no breaking down the bed and putting your legs in stirrups. And the doctor/ midwife wasn’t dressed like an alien from outer space with the hairnet, goggles, gown, shoe covers etc. just nice, calm, gentle.
