I feel sad when I see you overwhelmed with things (crying) because I understand , but I admire that you can articulate well what you feel. I am a woman, my name is Claudia diagnosed with bipolar and anxiety issues a couple of months ago. I send much love from Peru 🦙🦙🦙

Emotional numbing is a big one for me. Alcohol was my escape for me.

You're absolutely glowing from your vids 2 years ago. I believe tears represent drawing near to God in the moment. "Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’" You make me feel not alone so thank you for your videos.

When i watch a movie, i understand it in a way, and based on that understanding a specific feelings are triggered.. 10 years later having growing in knowledge, rewatching the same movie triggered a whole new feelings.. that's the trick, more knowledge, more pleasure.. being able to see things from different angles.. I feel like doing so, should i ? Re experiencing the same things in short period of time, without acquiring new knowledge, will trigger the rational.. and it will give us the impression that the pleasure is fading out.. Why ? Because our mind is now aware of not just the impressions, but also the consequences of that experience.. We are focusing on the first impressions ignoring the consequences, and desperately trying to recreate the same circumstance hoping that it will triggers the same feelings.. it's a trap ! No new information acquired, viewing from the same angle, nothing to explore.. no pleasure.. But sometimes we fail to recognize our new emerging state, our knowledge has increased but we are not synchronized, we have not performed the update yet :) it happens frequently especially with tiny events, a new term, a new definition, a renewed understanding.. we should get rid of the old understanding, not forgetting the past but revisit it (many times as needed) from a different angles, tolerate and learning from mistakes, and be constantly aware of our actual state of knowledge, to ensure the pleasure in the present experiences..

Dear Bipolar Barbie: thank you so much for your videos. You are so brave, bright and beautiful inside and out. I am mother of a borderline daughter and I am so sure that as me, you have been helping many people. You remind me so much of my daughter, so many talents, love for animals, clever, the list of good things is long, although she does not believe she is/has. We just got the the diagnosis of borderline very recently, so we have a long way ahead of us, but things have been Heavy and difficult for many years now. I have been reading as much as I can about BPD, but your videos gave me something that no book or therapeut coud give me, which is the little glimse of a all the avalanche of feelings and how hard is to deal with BPD, I can not even imagine the magnitude and overwellming daily difficults that BPD causes. I am sending lots of love to you and lots of positive energy so that you continue on your journey to the life you want to have. :-) Hope that you get better soon!

So good video. I always related it to overfocusing, or to be too rational and disconnected from reality; like when i get to know something i am interested on. It is first time i hear that it is related with addiction of drugs. Thanks !
