It's beyond my comprehension why this great video only has a couple thousand views. I found that video because I wanted to know what happend to me I was always considered the underperformer in school (a lot of negative emotion in school settings) but now it completely changed around. I know what matters to me and I am generally very openminded. So my learning experience is really incredible. I don't have to take notes anymore and can recall the key things of what I have read or listened to and connect it to previous knowledge because I am so emotionally ( in other words very excited) engaged. You can go a long way with clear clarity and curiousity/ emotional engagement. Thank you Sir

It's weird how I landed in this video for the exact same reasons you did and thought the same about the view count. I did poorly in school and in 9th grade, everything changed, my suspicion is that a teacher was able to help me release anxiety through her teaching techniques, and from there everything changed just like you and now I teach at a college. Glad to find someone with the same experience I had.

One of the main reason is simply YT's algorithm. This video doesn't have that much likes/comments, meaning it didn't have a sizeable feedback originally nor later in time and the amount of thumbs up/down and comments don't match the amount of views so it's a vacuum and it will be found by people who research something that matches the tags. I found it because I Know emotions impact our memory and our ability to learn so I was researching talks on that subject. This video just proves my point but do not responds to my question. I only commented to answer you, the cycle therefore continues. I hope you see what I mean?

For info I had a terrible experience with school, it kept me extremely stressed, I never figured out how to manage my focus, do my homework. I didn't have positive experiences outside either, like this guy's daughter, so the few things I mastered in school were Highly dependent on if my teacher was a cool person or was positively reinforcing my personal abilities or basic knowledge or gamifying the experience, if any of this happened it made the class a little bit bearable and I could retain info. At home I would play video games, learning English came through that and little by little I actually retained the language because it was associated with something I already Enjoyed. It became obvious that school would never be a positive for me on the contrary of games. Now I 20 years later I learn that I have adhd. Can you believe that 🤔
