When Indonesia and Suriname was under the rule of the Netherlands, they brouhgt our grand parents from Indonesia Java (still dont know wich part of Java)to work for them in Suriname. So they stayed in Suriname so im born in Suriname. When I saw this video I cried and had a feeling as if a piece of me is still in Indonesia. The only language in the song I understood was when the lady came out at the balcony with the baby. That was the javanese language that I speak at home in Suriname. My late grand father used to sing that song for my lill sister when he carried her in his hands. That was so emotional for me.I hope God will blessed me with a ticket to Indonesia before I die.Love the video and love your reaction.👍.New subs here

The mythological creatures in the last scene were manifestations of Antaboga (Antabugo) & Garuda. ✨ Ancient Javanese wayang, symbolizing Antaboga is the king of snakes guarding the bowels of the earth as the "Lord of the Underworld".🌟 ✨The figure of Antaboga (Dragon) is inherent in Javanese & Balinese culture, usually found in gamelan carvings, gates, etc as a symbol of 'Guards'.🌟 ✨Physically, Antaboga is more like a dragon. Here is the develop, the combination of the gallant Garuda with its wings. As a symbol of the guardian of the world above & below.🌟 ✨On his forehead there is a symbol "Surya Majapahit" which means Dewata Nawa Sanga (nine guardian gods in each corner of the wind)🌟 ✨Why not just Garuda & Pancasila? Garuda Pancasila is a symbol of the state which is certainly sensitive if it is fantasized anciently. Because the symbol of the state is protected by the law.🌟

Let me explain little bit about that video from what i know. Actually this song from many region in Indonesia like Java, Bali, Sumatera, Papua, Borneo and many more. If you notice there is in every region we have different language, different costume, different culture that show about diversity of Indonesia. Then you hear about speech from our first president Soekarno when declare independence in 1945. In the end that's Indonesia patriotic song. I think this is the best gift for celebrate Indonesia Independence day 17 August 🇮🇩💖 By the way, the instrument that looks like guitar is " SAPE" traditional instrument from borneo or Kalimantan. And the javanese song sung by a woman holding a baby means " go to sleep, my beautiful child, grow up to be a national hero" and the rise of Surya Majapahit ( the kingdom of MAJAPAHIT ), the largest and most advanced kingdom at that time, illustrates the hope that children born now can advance Indonesia like the Majapahit kingdom. First,,,GOOD JOB ALFI REV

Indonesia has lots of ethnic.. Every ethnic has different traditional houses, traditional clothes, headpieces, languages, songs, instruments.. That makes indonesia "rich wonderland".. 😍 This video kinda mix few of those ethnic.. Btw, the lady who carried baby is singing with "Sinden" Technic.. Its like traditional "seriosa" From central java indonesia.. It needs special singing technic.. That's why they have different singer on that part.. The "band" part is mix with declaration of indonesia independence day.. It was declared by our first president Sukarno at 17 August 1945..

A little explanation from me about Indonesia. Sabang to Merauke, Miangas to Rote Island. It has 17,504 islands, like a bridge, which connects, unites and binds diversity. Because diversity is a blessing that must strengthen unity, not the other way around. 718 recorded languages, 1 unifying language of the Indonesian nation, 300 ethnic groups, 1340 ethnic groups from east to west. 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩☺️🙏BHINEKA TUNGGAL IKA WHICH MEANS, DIFFERENT BUT STILL ONE. TORANG SAMUA BASUDARA. which means, We are all brothers. ☺️🙏

A new subscriber from Lombok island, Indonesia. In case you get it wrong: the claim 'Indonesia is the most beautiful land in the Universe' at the beginning of the video, I guess was added for marketing purposes only. We all believe that every places are equally beautiful. Most people were asking: What are those headpieces she wore? Those headpieces (crowns) she wore called Tiara for females or Mahkota for males. In the past you must wear those kind of headpieces to identify yourself as a royal family member and normally made of gold and silver with diamond installed in the middle of it. Every diamond placed in a Tiara or Mahkota can't be just a normal diamond. It has to be something with a magical power. Meanwhile, headpieces for the usual people are made of clothes. Headpiece is one the most important outfits for almost every ethnic group in Indonesia. Even more important than shirts. In my original tribe and many others, we don't wear shirt for males, We usually wear 3 pieces of sarong (a loose cloth) to cover our waist up to the knee (No shirts on) and of course a headpiece. In my own tradition (Sasak in Lombok) headpiece isn't just an accessory. It is actually more as a symbol that you appreciate your head and to prove that you are responsible to protect it even from the heat. Headpiece is the very first thing you wear when you're born. Your parent will have it made for you a month before you even born. Nowadays, everyone can wear any kind of royal headpieces during their wedding ceremony and many other special occasions. What are they singing? This video showcases 9 traditional folk songs from 9 ethnic groups out of 879 ethnic group existed in Indonesia. The main song is Padamu Negeri - One of our national anthems. As an Indonesian, there is no way you not gonna cry when singing or listening to that song. It is our oaths to the mother land. Our promises to the nation. And as the answer to the prayers of our parent which Alffy described perfectly through that young mother singing lullaby to her newly born son. A lullaby can't only be just a nice song to bring you to sleep, it consists a prayer, wishes and hopes of our parent to see us grow as someone useful to the nation. Nothing can make them happier than that. What is that traditional musical instrument he's playing? That musical instrument is a traditional Dayak instrument called Sape. You must check out UYAU MORI playing Sape SOLO which will bring you into the world of true relaxations. Who did the speech and what is it about? It was the original proclamation speech done by our first president Soekarno. Are those places real? The buildings and nature scenery were all real but yes, CGI effects applied to make the video looks more cinematic. Those floating buildings are; Rumah Gadang (Sumatera), Rumah Toraja (Toraja), Borobudur Buddhist temple (Jogjakarta), and Pura Ulun Danu (Bali). If I'm not mistaken, the Goddess statue where the singer starts her singing is at Royal Pitamaha, Ubud, Bali. Of course they're not floating in real except Pura Ulun Danu which situated on the lake. What is the Symbol that awaken the dragon? It is called Surya Majapahit or known as Dewata Nawa Sanga - The 9 Gods that protect the universe from 9 different dimension compass wise. What are those creatures? The creatures you see at the end of the video are GARUDA and a Dragon known as Antaboga from the mythology of the ancient Majapahit kingdom . Antaboga is believed to be the guardian of the underearth dimension. That's why you will find it featured in many of our traditional carvings, crafts, and even in our architectural designs. Meanwhile, Garuda is the main symbol of our country (You can't really showcase it for commercial purposes because It's protected by law). Garuda itself is a huge gigantic bird that can only be found in Indonesia. And is believed by the Hindu as the main vehicle of God Vishnu. Where they shot this video? 1. GWK - Garuda Wishnu Kencana in Bali which known as one of the biggest statues in the world. 2. Royal Pita Maha, Ubud 3. Taman Nusa, Bali 4. Ubud Valley 5. Baleurang, Ubud. Note: Trust me, there are thousands of 'mysteries' yet to be unfold in Indonesia (Nusantara) and I guess, historian refused to dig deeper into it because they wanted us the be classified as a third class country. 'A 3rd class country that shared a lot of things in common including traditional language with many of the far far away lands like Hawaii, Fiji, Kiwi, and even Madagascar. By the way, thank you for the awesome reaction. It means a lot for all of us in Indonesia.

tbh as an indonesian i dont even sure I know all things in the video lmaoo, its not bcs i don't love my countries its just that there's too much culture to study. And the statement that there are thousands of 'mysteries' yet to be unfold in Indonesia could not be more true. FYI, even the fosil of the primordial man mostly found in Indonesia. But there might be other reason that the historian refused to dig deeper into it, one of the reason is Indonesia is the lungs of the world (in case you don't know) the other reason is, some part in Indonesia is still so traditional that that could do curse and magic (u are free to not believe it), there is many myth and ancient stories in Indonesia (some of them already become movies) ofcs the statement that they want us to be classified as a 3rd country also might be true, after all we had a lot of potential, who knows.

@@ceciliaangelica6866 Thank you for sharing Cecelia. I do believe in everything about our country. Even, in a small island where I was born and raised, Lombok, there are thousands of things remain uncovered. Especially because of the Samalas eruption back in 1257 which considered as the World largest eruption in modern history and then followed by our neighboring island Sumbawa with its Tambora that erupted in 1887 which caused the Year without summer in many western countries especially Europe. Imagine, how many of our people have died and so many of our ancient kingdom were buried by those eruptions. Fortunately we still have a few ancient scripts left for us to learn about our identities. And that's why, no matter how high we studied the modern things, they will never be able change us into becoming someone else. Our cultures and traditions live inside our blood. At the end of the day, those identities are the only important thing we can give to our kids.

Sampek is a traditional musical instrument typical of the Dayak tribe in East Kalimantan. This musical instrument has a different name in each Dayak sub-tribe. For example, the Dayak Kenyah, Dayak Bahau and Kayaan tribes call this instrument by the name of Sampek or Sape.

Alffy plays a Dayak Sape, an instrument similar to guitar. Dayak is one of the many tribes, found in Kalimantan, one of the biggest island in Indonesia. It is breathtakin, even an Indonesian themselves may find this interesting it may be first time to listen to how "Sape" plays. Wouw .. Arffy & his team is outstanding both in music & great cinematograhy

First of all, I'm happy for you learn somethings about us. and I am glad too you pay more attention to Indonesia... Anyway, i'm not surprised that many of Americans didn't know much about Indonesia, or even how to spell In-do-ne-sia. Didn't even think those whole tradition existed.. well, it is true. maybe because we Indonesia is not a big part of wold political. but other than that, we have a bunch of wonderful places,, 17 thousands islands,, tons of beautiful people from many different culture and tradition.. I hope you can visit here someday after covid ended.. no matter who you gonna meet here or who's your tour guide,, let me just say... wellcome to Indonesia..

Opening song: "Bagimu Negri" Traditional Song and Traditional outfit : 1st song : "Paris Barantai" from Borneo Costumes : Ta'a for women & Sapei Sapak for men 2nd song : "Si Patokaan" from North Sulawesi Costumes : Laku Tepu 3rd song : "Sajojo" from Papua Costumes : Rok rumbai & Baju kurung 4th song : "Soleram" from Riau Costumes : Kebaya Labuh 5th song : "Kampuang nan jauh dimato" from Minangkabau Costumes : Bundo kanduang Dayak tribe's instrument called "Sape" from Borneo 6th song : "Janger" from Bali Costumes : Payas agung 7th song : "Manuk Dadali" from West Java Traditional costumes with Siger (head pieces) 8th song : "Anak kambing saya" from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Costumes : Ti'i langga 9th song : "Lelo ledung" a keroncong song which was often sung by parents inthe post-independence era (Lullaby from Java). Indonesia Proclamation by first president Mr. Ir. Soekarno Finale "Bagimu Negri" National song of Indonesia Those are small part of Indonesian culture. Why is the creature in the final scene not "Garuda"? Why Dragon? The mythological creature in the last scene of "Wonderland Indonesia" is a manifestation of Antaboga (Ontobugo) and Garuda. In ancient Javanese wayang, Antaboga is the king of snakes who guards the bowels of the earth. Ruler of the "underworld". The figure of Antaboga or Naga is inherent in Javanese and Balinese culture. usually found in gamelan carvings, gates and gates as a symbol of "guardian". Physically Antaboga is more like a dragon, but we develop it by combining the gallant Garuda with its wings. As a symbol of the guardian of the world above and below. And on the forehead there is the symbol "Surya Majapahit" which means Dewata Nawa Sanga. Nine guardian gods in every corner of the wind. Why not Garuda with its Pancasila? Garuda Pancasila is a symbol of the state which is certainly sensitive if it is imagined anciently. Because the symbol of the country is protected by law. That's a bit of a fairy tale. Greetings #Wonderlandlndonesia | Cultured Freedom!

yes, some of the songs at the beginning are folk songs using traditional clothes according to the songs that are also use the folk language, traditional houses and all the places is real except the flying land (they've put the cinematic effect in there, the dragon), thank you, i loved when you really try to understand the messages inside this whole Video..... when guitars are played along with drums, they accompany the President when proclaiming Indonesia's independence, which is then followed by the Indonesian national anthem "Bagimu Negeri" / For you My Country
