Their clear enunciation while singing has always been a hallmark of this band for me. Normally it is rare to find a rock band that sings clearly, but here we have one that does and what they're saying is very intelligent and thought provoking.

They did not play Guitar Hero. They got into making music playing Rock Band by Harmonix. When they were in Boston studying at Berklee College of Music at ages 15, 13, and10, they were invited to Harmonix studio to play Rock Band 4, and were met with a surprise. Harmonix had incorporated their song "Free Falling" into the game! Their song "Survive" was later added as DLC. Thank you for reacting to The Warning!

In those Dany Day (Friday) midnight concerts Dany has described herself as always singing. Her range, and understanding of it and her vocal instrument, has grown so much over the years. Some of the songs she has performed in those midnight interludes where it’s just her and her guitar or even acapella are really captivating and you can hear the texture and tone of her voice go to places absolutely unexpected. Her cover of First Day of My Life by Bright Eyes is mesmerizing. kzread.info/dash/bejne/oo6YqtGBdbzXh5M.html You also get a sense of how beautiful and giving a spirit she is.

I know what you mean Randy. Dany was always a good singer but didn't have great control over her voice naturally (At least that's how I always heard her, having grown up with vocal training around me my whole life). Musical talent is in abundance, but the physical aspect of controlling her voice WITH POWER was not super natural for her, and she just forced it in QOTMS concerts I would say (I've spent my life as a musician and that's my personal very distant separated guesswork, but it's also pretty experienced so I'm sticking with that theory LoL). Pau has clearly always had much better voice control than Dany has, without having to put in the effort... her voice seems to do exactly what she tells it to do, which is an incredible luxury that most of us don't have no matter how good our ear is... the muscle control over your voice is something you can be born with, and Pau clearly was. Dany though, I've heard her go way out of tune repeatedly in live concerts in both lead and bg vocals.... and not fix it... which is where that unnaturalness can show itself. Supposedly Ale has the best ear for pitch of the three of them, with perfect pitch, according to her teacher, her sisters, and herself. But Ale also clearly, audibly, has fought with control over the actual voice control, more like Dany. her voice is also more like Dany's than like Pau's... some DNA going on there. However, with great training, Dany has become live just as amazing as she always was in the studio, which is pretty exciting, over the last couple of years. And I understand that Pau got similar training a couple years back and yhou can hear it with her also, although I think she didn't have as far to go as Dany did to become the amazing singer she is today. I doubt Ale has had vocal training, listening to her, but she's go the raw talent and if she did want to become a great lead singer, I have no doubt that she could be at least as good as her sisters. All that being said, I don't want to come across hard on Dany - Dany has way more material to sing in every concert, has to belt it out like a rock star unlike the gentle acoustic songs she used to stream in her basement, and more responsibility, I guess you could say, harmonically and musically in live performances, than either of her sisters..... you hear every single note mistake on guitar and on lead vocals... bg vocals, drums and bass can slip in little errors without being too dominant. So with Dany being front person, her voice gets way more pressure, she has way more range to cover, and needs far more stamina as a singer.... and it's no wonder she often had trouble with long concerts in their older days. She has pretty magically transformed in the last couple years to being live just as great as she is in the studio, and I can't wait to see where they go from here!

The endless twists and turns of this song give it a complexity that makes it one of my favorites on the album. I suspect they didn't spend as much on the video as it looks. They did rent the Museum of Steel in Monterrey, but Rudy Joffroy, their co-manager, has contacts galore in Monterrey (they were talking about that in the context of the video for Evolve), and as a few other people have noted, the extras were local fans who surely enjoyed the opportunity to participate, and they said they felt energized having fans around for the first time in ages.

I think a lot of their almost perfect annunciation is due to the fact that they are bilingual and went to a private school in Monterrey that really focused on teaching English structure. It can actually be detrimental in some cases as you listen around 13:10, Pau sings 'non-believers start running' and it comes out sounding like 'num-ber-ly garfs start running!' Once you hear it, you can't unhear it, and I laugh out loud every time she gets to that part. It became an inside joke with them early on before the EP was ever released. :-D Great review.. thanks Michal!! :-)

Nice reaction. I have two thoughts. Dani and Pau trade lead throughout this song. I feel an opportunity was missed to evaluate the subtle differences between their voices. A reaction to the live performance may have made it easier to see how they were singing each part. Additionally, a comment on Pau's breath control since she sings most of her parts while she's actively drumming. I'm most impressed when she sings through an aggressive drum fill transition whilst maintaining a smooth vocal delivery. They are amazing and getting better with each year. 🤘

This speaks to misinformation, conspiracy theories and hate being propagated by online groups like QAnon, etc., who are destructive to society. The “Kill the System, Kill the Man” line is a line of radicalization being peddled by these groups. It is not bring actually advocated by the band, but by their destructive characters in the video.
