A couple years ago I went on a date with a girl who said she was a super taster. Which I had never heard of. It sounded made up. She went through the whole restaurant menu and then some, naming all these things she couldn't eat because the taste was too strong. It took up the whole date. Needless to say, there was no second date.

You should see if you can taste phenylthiocarbamide (PTC) or propylthiouracil (PROP) - another type of supertaster is defined by the ability to detect more bitter compounds than others, with these two in particular being incredibly bitter to those with a particular allele of a gene, and completely tasteless to others.

I thought that I was a supertaster for a long time, because I'm one of those people for whom cilantro tastes like soap and I'd heard that was an indicator. Then, I found out that's just a genetic thing. I think might try this test to really find out. cough, cough

Your tatse buds can not been seen with the naked eye those little bumps on your tounge are your papillae yourbtaste buds rest on top of these generally each papillae will habe between 5-7 buds

There's little slips of paper you can get that has a chemical on it only supertasters can taste. Try those!
