Emmy, I love how you review everything without any pre-conceived judgment going in. You describe things pretty objectively, and let the viewer know what your subjective tastes are as reference. Like when eating bugs, new fruit, new drinks, and eating vegan treats, you don't bring in unnecessary comments that I see so many people do without realizing (which end up being almost off-handed insults). That's why I love watching your videos! I love food, and your videos do help me learn something about another food I've never tried before, and before I click a video I already know and trust that I'll enjoy the review. You give everything a chance, and if something doesn't seem to taste great, I can tell it doesn't reflect on where it comes from. I super appreciate that, for every kind of video that you do. Just too often, for comedy, or just to say something, people make broad assumptions about the origin of a food/people who eat the food etc when reviewing something, and it can sometimes become uncomfortable. Keep on being you, Emmy!

Seitan is vital wheat gluten flour not soy based just an heads up for the future. It is combined with water and spices to make a dough like thing boil in flavor water than you cook it anyway you want to make it. Best thing to do with it is make a roast.

Daenerys Targaryen not malnutrition from being vegan... just malnutrition. It can happen to people that are vegan or non-vegan. It's all about what you put in your body and just like there's non-vegan junk food, there's also vegan junk food. So if a mom isn't giving their child nutrients whether vegan or not, they will be malnutrition. My daughter and I all get blood tests done at ever checkup to make sure we are healthy and every time we pass with flying colors :)

Daenerys Targaryen i have been vegan for my 13 years of life. not all vegans are malnutrishioned. It could be the mother fed her salad and bread. You can be non vegan and malnutrishioned. it depends on what you eat it isn't because they are vegan.

I once was a vegetarian but I could not keep it going after losing 9 pounds in one month and losing tons of energy. My blood started flowing differently and everything started slowing down. I am honestly glad I stopped it because I would be dead without the meats I eat. Especially with the money I have, I cannot afford things that vegetarian diets hold. But of course, I love everyone no matter if they eat meat or not. This is just my experience. I'm glad you showed me this, I have been thinking about going back to being a vegetarian. :)

Start off by doing it slow!! Start by replacing some stuff with vegan stuff...like milk to almond milk, vegan butter..etc. I just see too many people dive right into it and just eat salad and deprive themselves of good food and bounce back to meat and dairy. Be prepared also to do trial and error. Some stuff you will love and some stuff you will hate! Have patience and good luck!

So. After reading through the comments... Is there actually such thing as a vegan that isn't judgmental, condescending and/or arrogant? I've never met one, or seen proof of one, but I'm seriously curious. Are they like like an Albino Peacock? They exist but are extremely rare. Or are they like Unicorns? Beautiful to imagine, but a myth.

Nammy Pants that's really encouraging to hear as all the conversations I've had with vegans turns nasty where I'm then called evil, a murderer ( I've never murdered an animal?) Or I can't possibly be compassionate. It seems the majority of vegans define your entire being and personality into the fact you eat meat and villaianise the act of eating meat when it's the way the animal is treated which is the problem, not people eating meat as it's natural. This is the most reasonable comment I have seen coming from a vegan I hope there are more like You! :D

I'm a vegetarian and used to love nuts for taste and of course the nutrients, but I have become intolerant to peanuts (the first I noticed significantly) and while I do still drink Almond milk without issue, I am afraid to try nuts again! I have avoided products with nuts for almost two years now. It makes me sad sometimes :(

I'm allergic to hazelnut and I've been avoiding nuts for a really long time because I'm paranoid. I miss peanuts but I'm scared to try them and I feel really silly. I love seeds and eat a lot of them and use them as a substitute.

I hate to nitpick, but Seitan is made of wheat gluten. The definition you gave for seitan is actually what tempeh is made of. I feel it's necessary to point out the difference because tempeh is gluten free by nature (for those who have Celiac or an intolerance), and seitan is definitely not! It is, in fact, 100% wheat gluten which gives it it's chewy meat like texture.

I absolutely loathe crunchy/crispy/hard granola bars. I would love to eat more of them, especially the fruit-flavored ones, but I want them soft, and I can never find them here. ;; The That's It mango-apple bar looks so delicious.

It sounds like you described Tempeh in the Primal bar instead of Seitan which isn't fermented. Seitan is wheat meat or wheat gluten
