To all the people saying that the things weren't even produced by swedish companies; do they really have to be? I think the point of this is to see what sweets you eat in what countries, not where they were produced or by whom.

Emma Wall neighbouring, yes. friendly, no. this makes me wonder what your origin is ... finland and sweden have been at war with each other in the 16th century and some say the war never ended.. Men like Mats Sundin and Ville Peltonen ring any bells? They were determined killing machines spreading pain and misery all over the two ice cold countries. They are still out there some where... anyway my point is that it sucks living next to sweden.

ruispuuro wow you obyesly forgot what the english men did to Africa, India,irland and many other countrys the point is that nearly all contrys have done bad things but sweden have been quite nicer then other contrys. and i am half finnish half swedish trust me the war have ended, there is no hard feelings between sweden, finland ,norway and danmark so just dont say things when you dont really know them so well

Fazer is indeed a big Finnish corporation headquartered in Helsinki. BUT - Fazer didn't acquire Dumle until 1975! There used to be a candy factory in Malmö, Sweden called Mazetti. Dumle was invented there back in 1945 and got its name in 1960, allegedly because of the popular Swedish children's programme "Humle och Dumle" on TV at the time. All this information is available on Fazer's website, so there's really no need to quarrel about it. In the end the most important thing is that we do share similar tastes in candy throughout the Nordic countries (and salmiak is also popular in The Netherlands). By the way, thank you Emmy for a nice and amusing review! :)

That Salmiak Licorice is in swedish is Salt Lakrits, which basiclly is Salty Licorice, that is why it tastes salty. Me gusta!

Hocey Pulver means Hockey Powder. Loved it as a kid. Hate it just like i hate all salty liquorice as an adult. You need to try Nero from Norway though. That is dark chocolate with sweet liquorice and it is the best candy ever.

Daim bars are popular in the UK too and are surprisingly good when smashed up and sprinkled over the cream on top of a trifle.

Fazer is a finnish company, i live in Finland and here they still make Dumble in lollipops :) and candy of course

***** love your reactions to all the licorice. Here in Scandinavia we really like salty, spicy and sour things. In licorice we often put salmiak in, and is what you know as ammonia. The coloring of the black candy is often made out of vegestable coal! :D

About those bags of creme; the chocolate one has tiny bits of hazelnuts in them while the liquorice one has sunflower seeds.

The Nöt-Créme has so many nostalgic memories for me! Like when I was a kid and my mum would bring me to the gas station to clean the car, then she would buy me one of those as a treat(they're like 2SEK each)

Fiskebåt is the swedish word for Fishingboat, so you where correct there :).. And the Japp is a word we use for Yes.. Or probably more equilant to yepp... The Nöt-Créme, is a Hazlenut Cream that was mainly for decoring like cupcakes and such but became a really popular candy..

Hockey pucs, daim, center, japp, dumle (They are lollipops here in Norway), are all Norwegian treats, wich are also sold in Sweeden...

I'm guessing someone has told you already but in case no one has - Dumle is still made as lollipops too :) It was fun watching you eat "our" candy! :D

Dumle are the memory of my childhood - they used to be sold in Poland, but, sadly, not anymore. The Fazer brand somehow disappeared from here. I still remember the taste the way it was like ... 15 years ago ;)

Notice, Daim is actually a Norwegian chokolat bar. As I told in my last message, Freia the Norwegian chokolat company owns Marabou. So maybe they moved the idea to Sweden for a go when they knew it was a hit in Norway.

Forstanoob: Don't eat Swedish things that you're allergic too on a Sweden-video, because if you die, we _will_ send agents to cover it up. No-one would know. We would bury your body with lots of Norwegian candy, just in case. Over and out. Love, Sweden

I have never seen in my entire life(as I´m living in Sweden) some one that eats Hockey Pulver

Det var, iaf vad jag vet, under 90-talet som man åt hockypulver. Dvs. när jag var liten. :P I have only eat Hockey pulver when I was a kid. :)

Hockeypulver är så gott! Men åt det mest när jag var yngre. Nu är det ihoptryckt pulver istället - lakrisal.

hmm.. när jag såg center och dumle... det vattnades i munnen...

i am from sweden and hockey pulver with salty powder is one opf my favourite candy.. i love salty candy.. many do that here in sweden :)

They still sell Dumle lollipops but not at so many places. They have also started with liquorice taste and another one with darkchocolate.
