I really love how respectful and objective all of your reviews are, I am from México and I often see reviews of people that eat from my country or other countries and they are sometimes very disrespectful telling how awful or disgusting some snacks may be just because they are not used to those flavors, but your are not like that at all, you totally embrace the differences

I don' t like all foods... but reapect those that do! Just because i may not like it, does not mean you don't. And I LOVE spicy food. Peppers, sauces... but unfortunatly my stomach does not. :( .... what are some popular snacks in your country? We have a lot of sweet/chocolat snacks.

I volunteered and lived in Bangladesh for 3 months over summer this year teaching English and seeing this video brought back so many memories for me! Absolutely loved Mr Twist crisps! The toast too, you can get sweet ones with a weird strawberry (a bit like the fake poci stuff!) on top! It was called sandwich toast! Thanks for this video, brought back lovely memories! Donnobad! (That's thank you in Bangla!) xx

Your channel is amazing. I can watch for hours. It takes me to places I want to go and taste the everyday foods of other countries. No one else could do this but you, Emmy. Your honest expressions and "Umms" make me want to put snacks on my list the next time I go to the asian markets and grocery stores in South Houston. My wife and I try to do that every so often, but I feel a trip comin' on! This concept is so different and fun! Thanks for taking the time to share.
Hi Emmy! I'm from Kolkata, which is a part of eastern India, but more or less culturally similar to Bangladesh, since the state of Bengal was kind of "halved" when India and bangladesh were separated and most of our foods are pretty similar! I would love to send you a box of goodies with bengali as well as central and north Indian flavours. Elaichi is the flavour obtained from a whole dried cardamom pod whereas internationally, cardamom is actually referring to the toasted and powdered cardamom seeds. Toasting cardamom changes it's taste completely! It's actually iconic of East-Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine to have whole cardamom pods in the food.

emmymadeinjapan Potato Crackers is the most popular chips in Bangladesh. Tens of others Giant company had been trying since over an era to take them down by their similar packed, similar flavoured chips. But in vein, they couldn't. Chanachur, yes there are 100s of other Chanachur companies, but the one you took, has its glory of almost hundred years. Over all, for cookies, biscuits typed products Kishuan has been (in recent years) the best so far. Thanks for taking Bangladeshi foods. I am inviting you to visit us and have some delicious cooked local foods.
Feeling really Proud about my Country 'Bangladesh ' Ma'am Thank You that you have lifted my country top of the Mountain! A big applaud for you! :)

খুব সুইট ভিডিও। Nice video. I am a Bangladeshi fan
to mikachune, these are bengali snacks, indian snacks often copy or are similar to our bengali snacks. But don't worry a country of 160 million people can make their own snacks. Indian a.k.a Hindi/Punjabi snacks are often different to Bengali snacks anyway.
@yakubkarzai3307
8 жыл бұрын
+No I - Last time i checked Bangladesh once belonged to India so how can you claim that India copied Bangladeshi snacks? Most of the South Asians snacks are originally from India. Even your snacks has Indian names
@ilh656
8 жыл бұрын
+Yakub Karzai last time I checked Afghanistan once belonged to India anyway, even Iran. Bengal has always been an independent country, the British came and made one empire, the UAE to Malaysia were ruled as "India" at one point. difference between Bengalis and Afghans is Bengalis don't define themselves by European versions of history whereas Afghans do. India is a false creation. India is actually North India and Pakistan. Dravida, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bengal are different countries. And I assure you, after 1947 there wasn't an influx of Indians into East Bengali to "teach" snacks, Bengal had enough fertility and knowledge to make them already, I know Afghanistan is very arid though. All your food is Indian.

No such as "Indian". Just as there no such thing called "Indian cuisine", music, dress, language, form, function. India is an invention of England's cruel exploitative colonialism. Everything produced in Bangladesh in informed by Bengali taste and genius. Butt off, India!

@MyAishVLOG
9 жыл бұрын
At 8:51 is PRAN
@arafat464
8 жыл бұрын
+salah khan GOD you're so stupid. All I'm trying to say is that Pran is the first and largest manufacturer of sweets and snacks in Bangladesh. They are the pride of Bangladesh and probably the biggest competitor to Indian and Pakistani companies that Bangladesh has. So to not have products from Pran (except one) but having a video about Bangladeshi snacks is a little sad. Do you normally have to have everything spelled out for you?
@arafat464
8 жыл бұрын
salah khan Ugh, when I said Pran is the inventor of Bangladeshi sweets, it was a metaphor and exaggeration. IT DOESN'T ACTUALLY MEAN PRAN INVENTED BANGLADESHI SWEETS. And do you work for Bonoful or something? So when someone mentions Pran you get all pissed off. It was supposed to be a joke but you've gone ahead and turned it into a debate. Do you understand now or do you need more explanation.

Hi emmy! i love that you've tried Bangladeshi foods! The Toast biscuits we dig into milk tea and it's the best afternoon snack. It's spiced with something we call 'pach phoron' basically 5 spices, fenugreek seed (methi), nigella seed, cumin seed, black mustard seed and fennel seed in equal parts. just wanted to say that the Bangladeshi chips that we have are not Lay's we have something called Bombay Sweets is the most popular.
Like Miriam said below Emmy is great because she respects and TRIES to understand the different tasting palates of the world. By doing that, you show that you are more cultured and smarter than the guys whose first reaction is 'ewww gross', as if they are 8 year olds. You are very worldly and you are able to decipher and understand tastes vastly different from yours :)
