@karvakeisari9359 I mean, the language is there, but the tone is nowhere near to Bird's.
For 11 minutes the world stops and the pure Holy Spirit of jazz speaks sings dances and spins the universe into existence.

I’m a bit late to this, but how are you able to pick apart drop 2 voicings by ear? I know what they are, and I have a good enough ear to hear changes and transcribe solos, but how do you identify voicings by ear? What do you listen for? Love this recording by Emmet Patrick Russel and Kyle
Everyone coming from the most recent Bartley/Cohen performance needs to go back and watch this whole thing! Just as killin

yes I loved it
I think the moment at 8:40 is the most beautiful moment I've ever heard in jazz. The buildup throughout the whole solo, and then it all cuts off for a moment, and then starts building back towards the melody. And then as if it could get any better, Pat jumps in.

Emmet Cohen, you are such a great pianist. Great in comping and soloing. Thank you for the great music and videos you are sharing man !
This so hip, and I love Lyle's Muppet impressions at the end. Pure poetry!
This swings so hard 🔥
Patrick and Emmett are two of the best right now. Kyle and Russell are beasts as well
It ‚s just a dream! These guys are swinging together like one body! Just friends. Wonderful

Patrick Bartley is such a wonderful musician.
I feel like all my life iv'e waited to hear what real jazz is. And this is it i think these guys are transcendant
ジャズの伝統を受け継ぎながら、新な方向性を感じさせる演奏に大満足です。若い世代にはこの音楽がどのように聴こえているのか知りたいです。とにかく、このジャスト・フレンズ本当に洗練されてますね。
Bartleys tone, timing, phrasing, I subbed. and I will now go looking or his as well as your recordings ... .... .. .
Should be a sin to have this much fun.🎹🎹🎶❤️
Wonderful endless creativity.
wow... what a joy to listen to. jubilant, lyrical alto sax solo followed by a change of mood in the piano solo which builds and builds up again. All the while with a truly great Rhythm section..absolutely love this.
The best swing I ever heard
I'm pretty sure this was created as a direct attack on my self esteem

:: It doesn't get any better than that!!!! Emmet, Russell, Kyle and Patrick may be standing on other giant jazz masters, but we can clearly say they own their craft as well!! Cheers from Montreal. Can't wait to see you guys live soon!!! ::
Jazz Masters at work, every one of them !!! A joy to the ears ! ! !
The juxtaposition of each musician's restraint and simultaneously losing themselves in the music blows my mind...
Oh, so cool Patrick Bartley. Great!
God the way y'all swing the hell out of quarter notes is so inspiring
patrick! so melodic i could die
Have mercy! So sweet I need some bread to sop it all up! Thank you!
By far the best named jazz standard...
This recording made me learn this song and play it at my next gig
Patrick, you are amazing! What a delightful tone, what a knowledge of the song! You guys are sooo cool
ありがとうございます!
This is killin, that “two bass hit” from the same segment is transformative.
You are the virtuoso of jazz ! It's Marvelous 👍👍🤗🤗
The way this group plays that last bit back to the melody at 8:20 moves me beyond words.
So Beautiful gift! Thanks a lot from Italy.
