For the record, the women USWNT have carried football in this country (USA) for decades. Mia Hamm (who's name is synonymous with Jordan and Gretzky) was the biggest American soccer star until Landon Donovan and even then, she is probably still bigger then him which means our biggest footballer has always been a woman. I'm so glad they went after the BIG FISH in Emma Hayes, she's perfect for this job and it is the best job in women's football IMO. Excited for this! As Ian Darke once famously said "go go USA" #courage

Hello going to be interesting with Emma hayes. There have been great club coaches that have not had success at national level. You don’t see the players every single day. And the Americans will want success straight away. Really hope that she does well. I got the vibe from the interview that she did that she didn’t really want to go.

And there are plenty of good club coaches that went on to be great internationally, the uswnt doesn’t need a coach that will develop these players into world class players most of them are already there, they just need someone who can set them up successfully tactically and that’s what Hayes does best, also if she didn’t want to go she wouldn’t have taken the job

CS From the US / L' Pool Fan ( Men's ), Fanatic of Women's Football EMMA HAYES wouldn't have been my 1st Choice, but the Pedigree is Quite Impressive; the Key QUESTION is Will ALEX MORGAN be chosen for the Next Cycle of International l Events, including the 2024 Olympics? Or will Hayes incorporate the W Cup Winner into her System, w/ the thought it will work Effectively for Morgan in tandem w/ other players? It could be Debated that Morgan is A: Declining or Quality Service from Teammates to Score Goals has been Lacking. or B: She's in a "Strikers Slump that could be reversed w/ the US Team and / or Club, and that C: Hayes will give Morgan the opportunity to close out her Int'l career on a possible "high note" in the Olympics ? CONCLUSION The Prediction is Hayes Won't give Morgan or Kelly O' Hara the "Call-Up" and turn the reigns over to holdovers and rising talent; The Alternative would be for Hayes to: D: utilize Morgan in the Manner that wasn't employed in the 2023 WW. Cup as an "Impact Sub" alongside Rapinoe, or: E: Put Morgan on "Standby" in case of Injury / Loss of Form and / or improved Club Play (NWSL) the Transition Period, and how Hayes will assemble the US Team will be very interesting Meantime... Great Show Ladies; Insightful Analysis on the Heels of Outstanding "Post WW. Cup" Breakdowns; It's very Appreciated

Who would you rather have?? Hopefully not Wiegman!! Her Lionesses side is sliding downwards.. I've wanted Hayes for long time!! There's a reason she's won so many cups!!! She won't put up with the crap Rapinoe did this past WC!! Took players off what was more important n I know she's not there no more but warning to other's they won't get by with it!!

@@marybowles6908 There was too much Obsession to Hire Wiegman and Gufstason, given the fact there's: A: 300 Division 1 College, 12 NWSL, 50 Div. 1/ 2, & solid UK / European Coaches / Assistants besides WIEGMAN, & GUF, including, B: former players Alan Shearer, Gary Neville, Kelli Smith, & other WSL Managers. I'm surprised if they were considered, that Laura Harvey and Casey Stoney were bypassed for the position the same could be said for Hayes losing out on the England job: As for Hayes and her impressive resume in addressing Your 2nd Point, the Questions are C: will she Energize or Polarize the Room, with or w/ o Alex Morgan & Kelly O 'Hara on the Squad; if it's the Latter, the US, even w/ the Talent base, has an Equally if not bigger Problem than w/ the Previous Coach, who also wouldn't have been my 1st Choice after the Departure of JILL ELLIS, but gets too Much Blame for D: The Penalty Kick Meltdown vs Sweden in the 2023 W W. Cup; that's on the Girls, including Rapinoe, not the Coach; As for Rapinoe, PK Miss and overall "off form" in the Midfield aside, she's also E: "over-blamed" for the US Team's Troubles in the 2023 W. Cup; Whether it was over-confidence in conjunction w/ the improvement of other teams, a decline in Alex Morgan's Form, and/ or F: lack of cohesion/ Lineup combos to provide proper Service for her & others, which partially falls on Rapinoe, it's too easy to blame one person; She didn't take all of the penalties; Vlad wasn't the Best or Worst Coach, and he was over- hammered for not subbing players vs Holland; Arguably or Clearly, his biggest blunder was G: Starting Morgan; She, like Rapinoe, should have been observing the Action from the Bench, and coming in as an "Impact Substitute" for the newly or well established young Attacking Players/ Prospects, including Alyssa Thompson, who received few, if any Minutes in the Tournament; Back to Hayes: My Prediction is she'll do Fine, but the un-realistic US Press / Fan Base will Roast her if: H: the Nat'l Team isn't producing 5-0 blowouts every game: They may have the Talent & Ability to do that @ times, but the World of Women's Football has changed; That's a Reality: Many will ignore that Fact; The Question is: Can the Manager G: succeed quickly Enough to Satisfy the Spoiled and impatient "casuals" that don't care about Football, or Fans / Experts who claim to know the Game , but w/Equally "overly biased" Views in tow, are Completely Clueless? Hmmmm... Stay Tuned

@@csracingreport2024 Despite the USA having a 50-year head start on the rest of the world when it comes to the women's game and a population of 330 million the US Soccer Federation couldn't find one American coach good enough who knows the technical and tactical style of football Europeans play. Be grateful you have a European coach to save the declining USWNT because you desperately need her.

@@Skyrose1978 Good Points, and in follow- Up to those, Casting a Net of Candidates Beyond one's Home Country is Wise though not Absolutely Necessary w/ the UK / European teams; The US made a Mistake in the Late 1990's 90' early 2000's after the Success w/ BORA MILUTINOVIC of Deviating from that plan, hiring Good, but Average American Managers, and not sticking w/ JURGEN KLINSMAN; The Local N. American level has improved enough for the US Women to have Hired a Solid US / Canadian based College, NWSL, Div. 2 (US Super League) Coach, be it Home-Grown or Int'l born; Therefore, as Good as HAYES is, UK wise there's Coaches Equally as Good if not Better, including ones I would have asked to come out of retirement, like an ALAN SHEARER, who has the Knowhow, Wit, & Charm to Coach Women; I'd go as Far to Say he'd be an Excellent Coach for the US Men's Club or take Southgate's place as England Manager; Same w/ ROY KEANE on the Latter; He may be too Blunt for the Women; She'll do a Good job, but I'm Not as Thrilled as others that Hayes is the Savior; I may be Wrong, but I have a Hunch w/ her Abrasive Style, the Friction amongst Players that comes w/ it Win, Lose, or Draw, will make her a Polarizing Figure

CS From the US here, semi- Lifelong Liverpool ( Men's), & Women's Football Fanatic; Ellis was Mentioned during the 2023 W W. Cup, but she's done her Due Diligence w/ 2 W. Cup Titles & other Trophies, And she's in upper- Management w/ the NWSL; now Hayes is a good coach, but I don't think she's even the Best in the UK Tbh. I would have gone Elsewhere, tried to pull a ROY KEANE or ALAN SHEARER out of the Broadcast / Podcast Booths, or picked one of 300 Div. 1 US College, NWSL, or Div. 2 Super League Head or assistant Coaches to Captain the US Women's Ship; I's be shocked if Casey Stoney & Laura Harvey weren't asked; My Hunch is though it's 99 % Identical between Youth, College & Club 2 Scout / Assemble a Team, they felt doing do for Club would be Easier; I get the Feeling Hayes will do Fine, but the Abrasive Style will cause Friction w/ Players, and make her, Win, Lose, or Draw, a Polarizing figure; Won't Matter as Much if the US Win, but if they Lose, that becomes a Big Problem.
