The Leaning Tower of Pisa is an internationally renowned, significant architectural landmark taught in schools in many countries all around the world, and having some presence in pop culture. I'm sure Oaxaca is taught in schools in the US and surrounding areas, but not so much in other countries. I'm from the Philippines, and I've known about the Leaning Tower since I was maybe 5 (saw it in some Bugs Bunny cartoon and probably an educational kids show as well), and I formally learned about it in school at about 1st or 2nd grade. I've never been taught about Oaxaca. Both places are about roughly the same distance away from my country (between 10000-15000 km away).

iirc they were worried about time (ironic in hindsight) because if they did a full force spin the wheel would go on for well over a minute and with the answer having 11 unique letters that equals potentially over 11 minutes (especially if it landed on 'lose turn' multiple times) of dead air time waiting on a wheel to land on a prize.

I'm personally not a fan of OTK, from things I've heard various members say on streams it does make me think that they don't treat women as equals, it wouldn't surprise me at all that they look down on Emuri or expect her to play dumb because she is a woman when she clearly isn't dumb but doing it as an act she has to play. it's really sad. I mean if she enjoys doing it or that's how she chose to express her personality so be it, i just get impression she isn't appreciated or can't be herself because she's a woman surrounded by men who treat her as such. No, that is exactly how to play the real game. The goal is to win as much as possible because the player with the highest winnings is the one that goes on to the final round. So there's a balance between running your luck by farming letters you know will have a high chance of existing in multiples vs when to stop and not run out of luck and solve it if you know it. Which is why the first guesses are almost always R S T L N E. The most common letters in the English language.
