I did this mission a couple times, on one of them the drill got pushed by a charger as it fell and we ended up getting infinite spawning bug breaches.

"Not Broken" Literally had a lobby where they couldn't interact with the button, but I quickjoined and was able to saving the day. Still a massive fan of the game, play a ton, but it sucks because I've heard about this mission type not working a lot despite it being cool.

I've had it fail at least twice across maybe half a dozen ops, I think the first one was saved by someone new joining after everyone else left, but I didn't have such luck the second time and had to hoof it back to extract with the samples solo and scrub the mission.

It's a nice touch that the bugs prioritize the drill (protecting their larva) instead of the player

I swear to lady liberty if we pull a Gears of War and wake up some big bugs… Imma need some bigger guns.

good news, in the game files, bile titans are considered *medium size*

On one side the amount of shriekers were nightmare fuel On the other side Meridia was the Terminids Supercolony for a reason and they didnt want to lose it.

actually it is broken a bit - 3 times in 2 missions I feel into the terrain from landing a drop pod onto the area that opens into a hole, BEFORE it was a hole. Since you can't always steer your pod from where it starts, I didn't always have a choice and it goes straight through the ground and into the hole, and you need to grenade yourself or be stuck forever

Honestly, we don't deserve a game like this. It's often the consumer gets the short straw in the gaming industry. But this developer has been doing what they can to appease their playerbase whilst dealing with the ball and chain, that is, Sony.

That drill model was actually leaked a couple of months ago! So cool to see it in game now

One time, a squadmate had the device dropped down, but the terminal didn't work. We tried destroying it so that we can drop a new one down to start over, but we were low on time and had to extract

Every single time I ran this mission, at least 2 Divers got caught in the blast each time. Didn't matter if you warned them, they _always_ were too close.

The only buggy part I've noticed (other than the terminids ofc) is reinforcements deploy underground if you land near the drill. But thats just due to the mission type methinks

Drill becomes indestructable when finished drilling. You can practcally solo objective with emy or by clearing small bugs with cluster. Way easier to clear than it was on Meridia (if we exclude the cheese)

It WAS bugged when it released. One of our guys got blown away from the terminal mid code input, and no one could iteract with it afterwards, softlocking us. We waited for emergency extraction for our samples and got a mission failure for it, losing us the rest of the missions in the cluster.

I got called onto one of those only to rise out and get splattered on the wall

First time playing this missions yesterday, i did not get warned

The game is progressing good

All of these measures against the bugs are just like when they kept intoducing fish ike four seperate times to the great lakes to control invasive species and they just became more invasive and didnt kill the fish they were supposed to.

I've had to play solo for some reason, probably too many accidentals in a few days. But, playing these new missions on solo is a blast. An EMS mortar, 500, eagle airstrike, and quasar cannon work wonders.

"Not broken" first time trying this mission one of the drill sites spawned in a GIANT mountain and there was no way of getting to it. Trust me we looked for 30 minutes and even glitched on top of the mountain.

If you call resupply within the radius of the future explosion they will get bugged underground as if the crater of the final part of the mission is already there. So it is partially broken, still much less than the previous ones. Call resupply a little far away from the drill

I saw a bile titan spawn on the drill

And a big deadly hole is formed.

It's a little broken. Last night the drill was halfway in the ground from my perspective and I couldn't touch the screen. One of my buddies had to complete it.

I’d like to see a Mission type like this but more of a Base Defence type mission. To elaborate: Picture a Fort (similar to the one in the film Star Ship Troopers) with SEAF Soldiers on the walls. We’d call in a Pelican which drops in a massive shield generator triggering Bug Breaches or Bot Drops. We then defend the position until the Shield Generator has successfully deployed. Once the shield is up around the fort, the objective is complete.

They have realistic future space guns. As a driller, I wonder how the mechanics of these drills work. Or if it’s just a magic space drill, cuz I don’t see any rods or it really doing anything.

I played one of these yesterday and it was the most broken mission i've played, my friend couldn't interact with the drill, our resupply fell through the floor, and we got an insane amount of bug spawns, which i'm not entirely sure if that has to do with the spawning bugs helldivers has had recently but the sheer amount of enemies made the game feel unplayable, it was only difficulty 7 too, i can't begin to imagine what helldive is like

Meridia was fun, those extractions were pure madness 😁

also if it breaks over 50% the drill starts at 50 percent the next time so you don't have to wait longer

The ironic thing is the first mission I played on this new set, we couldn’t call the stratagem down. Had to abandon.

I did this mission twice and it bugged both times

i played this mission today and the third drill was bugged and i couldn't access the terminal

is it just me or is the pelican autocannon super loud now?

The mission has a slight bug, don't reinforce over the bug nest, you'll go through the map and die. Happened to three of us last night.

there a bug where you cant activate the second phase. Don't know if it happen to anyone else .

loving this one, if only they tweaked this mutch the black hole ones, it would have been pretty cool, now i'm just happy the game is in a far better state btw, idk about the spawn thing, litterally never had a single issue with that since the patch, nor with the heavy spawns

...do I only need to dial one reinforcement code instead of multiple every time?

The game was rigged from the start

0:00 already untrue. played this mission 8 times now and haven’t been able to complete any of them because of how broken it is. terminal sometimes doesn’t allow you to access it, bugs spawn so frequently that if even one teammate dies the point is lost, and even had once where I called down the stratagem right as an ion storm hit and it softlocked the mission. these devs are beyond incompetent at this point and it’s so frustrating because I guarantee if 1 modder took the time out of their day they could most likely fix all of the issues plus some faster than their whole dev team can.

They died for democracy, their loss is not in vein.

another week another bug only mission type... I wonder if we ever gonna get a new one for bots

exactly, the only one we got was the defense one but this mission is also shared with bugs and the last major order was 24 hours instead of 6, six fucking days of bugs lol, is like 10 major orders for bugs and one for bots.

we need more mission variety. play a round of bugs, and its “close holes, nuke, oil, flag.”and its not just repetitive the 100th time, but extremely boring and linear

There's a reason why it's called nuke nursery, it explodes And the fact Parkdivers players feel frustation seems rather amusing to me instead of relatable😅 I honestly think there's a huge gap between the mentality of a Helldivers player and a Parkdivers player, as seen in the community, but that's another topic

It's actually very useful for this mission because you have hordes of the smaller bugs coming at you so it works quite well 😊

the Devs dont fucking listen the game is always bugged despite weekly update. But no sure make more weapons changes....

Literally over 100 k active players a couple days ago, during a weekday 😂 this game has more active players than any other live service game, it’s not going anywhere.
