Emirates Premium Economy: The BEST in the World?

In this much awaited trip, I'll take great pleasure in bringing to you the very latest product from the world famous Dubai based carrier, Emirates. Onboard one of their refurbished Airbus A380's it was amazing to have the opportunity to try out their brand new Premium Economy.
Overall and very much as expected, a great all round experience, it really was a thoroughly great take on this ever growingly popular cabin. Was it quite the best in the world as the title poses the question well, perhaps, I'll let you decide. For me, they did nothing especially revolutionary especially compared to a number of carriers now really pushing the boundaries in terms of the space and privacy afforded in this mid-tier cabin.
Would love to hear your thoughts below in the comments and as ever, would welcome your questions!

    I'm very pleasantly surprised- it's a premium economy product that actually looks premium! The cabin and seat look great and the main meal and its presentation is definitely a big step up from regular economy. The breakfast looked a little disappointing but I'd definitely consider flying on Emirates premium economy as a result of watching your video. Thanks for uploading this one!

    Great report, thank you. My partner and I are, hopefully, flying with Emirates next year. We have upgraded to Premium Economy so your film and report were very useful indeed. I still think PE is worth that little extra and certainly not as much as Business which seems to me to be silly money unless you are extremely flushed. I also am very impressed with the fact that Emirates PE has designated toilets which you don't find on BA, but I haven't flown on other airlines so cannot compare.

    Glad it was useful! Yeah for me, PE does tend to fluctuate significantly price wise but if you can get it at a relatively manageable premium over economy it’s well worth it, especially with the Emirates config on their 380’s shown here. Enjoy!

    If it's business class, it's always Qatar Airways for me. From New York they do their flagship Q suite and it's still the best in the industry for my money. Might be nice to check out one of the refurbed EK 380's in their business also. I've found from the UK, Etihad to have been really competitive of late though so worth running all options on Skyscanner or similar. Safe travels :)@@arhamkhan8869

  • @Travelsbydreamer

    @Travelsbydreamer

    7 ай бұрын

    Rarely mention cost as really does depend on time of booking. This flight was £1,300 return from LHR - DXB but booked late. Booking well in advance, I wouldn’t look to pay more then £800 for this route in PE. Really good question on the other airlines. For me, the new JAL and Air NZ seats look far more interesting, adding way more legroom at 42 inches pitch and a significant amount more privacy. Airlines with higher service standards such as Singapore Airlines likely to be overall a better choice also. Didn’t go to heavy on it on this video but the EK crew are well behind service standards wise vs the worlds leading carriers.

  • @snottmonkey
    @snottmonkey6 ай бұрын

    Can you comment a bit about the leg room or the seat reclining? Was it any different from the economy you’d reckon?

  • @Travelsbydreamer

    @Travelsbydreamer

    6 ай бұрын

    Yeah sure so, legroom wise they’re at 38 inches of pitch which is on standard with premium economy, up typically around 6 inches from the economy seats which makes a big difference. Recline wise, you’ll notice a big difference also vs economy with far more recline in the seats, the base of the seat also comes up to form a bit of a cradle type position for sleeping also. All in all, a big move up from economy, nice to have the additional seat width also.

    That’s a really good question. On the recline front, I’ve never found it to be an issue, largely thanks to the additional space between the seats so whilst they do recline back further, you’ve got more space to accommodate it. Given how relatively strong the emirates economy product is, I’d be more tempted to go economy and business I think. Especially on the A380 with the bar onboard, just more of an experience 😃

    It’s always fantastic to see her on the way in. Very envious of your voyage aboard the QM2, I’d love to do that sailing one day! Tricky decision but for me, it would come down to price a little as to which one might be more cost effective at the time of booking. Qatar sadly still don’t do a premium economy so still quite a gap cost and experience wise with them whether you sit in economy for 20+ hours or enjoy business etc. Singapore are just so strong but for me, cost would dictate a little as the pricing between the airlines can often range significantly…
