I've been tossing around the idea of building my own studio monitors from a pair of Lavoce CSF082.00K 8" (coaxials) They definitely have the specs to provide a nice flat response but I wasn't sure about the coaxial design. I mean it isn't used in any top monitors to my knowledge. But the sound from these is super smooth and clean; no timing/phase issues I could spot. I"m convinced, SOLD!
I was really surprised how smooth they sounded . really impressed actually

Got three of these mamajamas on the way to be paired with some decent compression tweeters. I'm planning to go fully active. We'll see how that goes. Did you use the designs provided by Eminence for your ported enclosures?
I hope mine sound like this when I'm finished. Just need to wire up the crossovers, insulate, router the holes and drop in the drivers.
I just made a set for the shop and they where really good but I felt that high end was lacking like it needed a extra flashy tweeter Idon't know hey what do you folks think ????

What is tuning and low frequency cut-off
Sound very good , though I'm not surprised by this personally . Tekton and Zu have amazing speakers using Eminence pro bass drivers. I built a set (copied) Lores from Tekton and they sound stunningly good , bettering speakers up to 5k$ I've personally compared them with AAD2001 monitors , Vandersteen 3c'sigs and Magnepan 1.7s , they smoke all of them to my ear , the closest being the AAD's .

Thank you! They really sound very good, but I think up to 1k. To 5k many better propositions like B&C, Radian, Eminence neo coaxials speakers....

Wow these sound amazing👍 are u using a compression driver with them? if so which one? I plan on finally running some coaxial midbasses and these seem to be the best option. Also would u mind telling me ur enclosure and port dimensions?
