I was there!! It was incredible. The highlight for me was Welcome 2 Detroit with Trick Trick! Jelly Roll also performed earlier that evening with Melissa Ethridge and Fantasia in a tribute to Bob Seger! The whole concert was fantastic. This was an event to celebrate the grand reopening of Michigan Central train station that had been abandoned for over 30 years. It’s an iconic building that represented Detroit’s rise and fall … but now it’s a symbol of rebirth and never giving up. The Ford Motor Company / family bought and renovated it. They gave away 15k tickets for this event before any artists were announced. All they said is that it would be a night of Detroit legends - and it was!!! Tickets were gone in minutes. They announced the lineup a couple days before the event and Eminem was listed as a co-producer of the event … so technically it was a surprise when he did the grand finale … but I knew he wouldn’t let Detroit down 😼 I loved that the Detroit Symphony Orchestra performed with him!

Jelly, was on Howard Sterns show a few weeks ago, talking about how him performing with Em came to be. Paul Rosenberg went to one Of Jellys Detroit shows last year & they were all hanging out backstage & Jelly asked Paul. If Em knew who he was. Paul, said that's the reason I'm here. I want to get the two of you together. He thought it was just his manager being polite. Paul told him that he was cooking something up and he'd be in touch. Fast forward Paul reached out to Jelly & asked him if he'd perform as a tribute to Bob Seger (bcuz he's a massive fan) he said yes. Then, he reached back out and says "Em, wants to perform a song with you" Could you imagine how he must've felt!? Getting to perform with his idol, the Goat, must've been so surreal for him. I've been following Jelly for about 10 yrs so up see him on stage with his legend, makes me so hyped. Just like this reaction did. I have watched this concert so many times but watching how excited you were, put a smile on my face and i was dancing along.

The orchestra at the start of Houdini was sooo good. Only thing better than watching this was watching you watch it. Seeing the joy on your face was good for my soul 🫶

6pm….right now, I got home from work (started at 430am) and being exhausted thought I would go straight to bed….. but no I had a peek at YT and I see this react…. So I had to watch it…. good luck me going to sleep anytime soon, ‘Em and Hector just activated my adrenaline and dopamine… Sooooooo good man Jelly Roll was awesome But Trick Trick smashed it out of the park… for a gangster he sure is an off the charts rapper Respect all around 🙏

M will be 52 in October. I have a friend whose cousin was a friend of when they were teens. Her cousin was ten years older than her. He would let her hang around them. The two guys shared a house at one time. So she was about ten or so. She said he was always genuine.

This was brilliant, complete and utter fire. 🔥 Em and Trick Trick together who could ask for more, but we all will. Can’t wait for Em’s album to drop, it will be so sick!

We watched this live the night it took place . The Henry Ford family financed the renovation of this train station. When it was thriving it was the biggest building at a train station. Michigan Central. He helped produce this show for the official reopening of this beautiful Detroit landmark. That was Bill Ford, Henry’s grandson who introduced M.

@@GarnetJ i used to do a lot of graffiti in there in my teenage days i doubt any of my stuff will still be there though....i live in the uk with my wife and kids now im flying back home to detroit in a few weeks to sort a few things out though so il defo swing by and check central station out see what they done with the place...its been 13-14years since i was in there

@@mattday94 very cool! It will be open to the public Fridays 5-9pm and Saturdays 10am-5pm through the summer. The transformation is incredible!! In addition to the one entrance/corridor where the graffiti will be kept as is, they also kept some of the graffiti by cutting out portions of some of the walls before the restoration of the building. You can see a few of them in the room where they talk about the renovation. I’m hoping they develop a photo book. The before and after shots are unreal.
