    I can describe it pretty well for women who are curious about that particular pain. Imagine a cross between a sharp funny bone pain and a severe tooth nerve pain. It really doesn't hurt in the crotch as much as it does in the abdomen and lower chest and it follows up with nausea. It can be very intense even with a well placed graze of just one ball and it can be completely black out worthy if the hit is with force.

Was in pain for a solid 20 minutes but it only hurt in my nut region. of course it was tender for a day or two afterward. BUT, the most awful pain was actually a sweeping graze, kind of like a speed bag in boxing. You don't actually hit it dead on but towards the edges... I felt that pain through my abs and stomach up into my throat. Typing this out is manifesting those pains back into reality. Sometimes even the softest taps can cause the worst pain imaginable.

    mzzzhedison And this data tells us that childbirth is more painful than having one's balls smashed because death results from childbirth 650 times a year? That pain and death are equivalences? Are you telling me that pain is measured by the onset of death? Tell me, in the case that one does not die from giving birth to a child does the pain of childbirth become lessened? I appreciate your attempt at sarcasm, but what in the world do those statistics have to do with pain and the relative nature of pain? Take some time away from statistical data, and spend a little more time with logic. Then you won't think that you're so smart after all.

    mzzzhedison No sane person denies that mothers go through pain in child birth, which is why a third of women in the US opt out of it and choose cesarean section, and the majority of the rest get epidurals. It is the increase of cesarean operations that kill many of that enshrined 650 that you keep waving about. That's an ironic tragedy. Yet, you seem to actively campaign in this thread to dismiss the pain men feel when being hit in the testicles. Is it misandry or narcissism that drives you to post even in threads that attempt to find neutral ground?

We're discussing the amount of pain here, not how lethal it is.

    A teacher of mine had a very good way of explaining how getting punched in the nuts is worse than getting punched in the boob; getting punched in the boob doesn't make women go in fetal position barely able to breath, which is also why it's a good defence against men to go for the nuts, but you'd get more out of punching a woman in the face than in the boob. Also one punch to the nuts kinda feels like getting kidney punched repeatedly, it's also consistent high amounts of pain for a good few mins.

    Years before I transitioned to female I accidentally squashed my nuts on a narrow bicycle seat. I don't even remember falling to the ground afterwards, just lying curled up on the pavement for about 10 minutes. By contrast, my 38C breasts (not implants) can take far more abuse simply because they're much better padded. But it's really how much pressure is applied, not so much the impact that hurts.

    A quote which explains it better than I could: "Testicles are covered in nociceptors, they are also attached to many nerves in the stomach as well as the vagas nerve which is directly connected to the brain's vomit centre. Because they aren't well protected, being hit there leads to nausea, high blood pressure, heart pain and sweating." If you wanna know more specifics about nociceptors as far as I remember; nociceptors respond to something potentially damaging by sending nerve signals to the brain. But you only experience pain once a certain threshold has been passed. And yet, biology lessons just can't do justice to just how fucking much it hurts, it's crippling. It makes you wish someone would stab you just to take your mind off of how much your balls hurt.

As far as I'm concerned we'll never know, but there is 1 factual truth I keep coming back to: some women describe giving birth as nearly pain-free (of course the total opposite exists, and everything in between), but no man with 2 functional testicles would ever be able to describe getting hit in the nuts as such.

I had a buddy when I was 14 who was never hit in the balls once and was all like "what's the big deal". One day he got a ball in the crotch during soccer and he shat himself I kid you not. He stood there in the awkward pose every man knows after getting hit in the balls and he shat himself instantly. The day before that he had diarrhea so it is a bit understandable but he will never forget his first hit in the balls although he has been hit many time since that.

    it's like the difference between a paper cut and a deep gash. for some reason the papercut hurts more.

  • @lazylank

    @lazylank

    7 жыл бұрын

    That's because the paper cut is right at the tip of the nerves, which causes the burning sensation, whereas a deeper cut is somewhat below the nerve ending (thus less sensitivity). Furthermore, the body tends to go into shock when it experiences more harmful injuries (like a deep laceration). This is actually a survival instinct that dulls the pain (or, if the shock is intense enough, numbs the pain altogether).

  • @343298918

    @343298918

    In order to stimulate nerves deep to the muscle, you need to penetrate through the superficial nerves first. A deep cut causes much more pain that a shallow cut. The only reason doesn't feel as bad is because multiple pain signals are sent to the afferent pathway and are interfered with each other.

    Well, there is the difference between primary and secondary sexual organs. Being hint in the boob can be compared (although this does not take into account the obviously different location and thus the different nerves attached to the body part) to a man being hit in the beard (which, just like the enlarged breasts of a woman, is a secondary sex characteristic), which does hurt but does not knock you out most of the time.

    Simple facts : in contact sports, women don't wear protective gear over breasts or even vagina. Men HAVE to wear protective gear for balls. Even in trainings, we had to. Because the slightest, weakest kick/whatever would pretty much knock us out. Personal example : I had a stomach surgery (cutting, pumping infection and stuff) performed on me while not on sedatives (wasn't enough time), yet I would do that surgery any time again instead of getting kicked in the balls. That's how much any impact on nuts hurt... that much.

As a kid I kept having these freak accidents in which I would always fall hard straddling something--once it was a steel gate, once it was a rope, once it was the crossbar on a man's bicycle after running into a brick wall at high speed. WHY would anyone even consider that the boob is the female equivalent to the testicles as far as a potential high pain location? All those nerves down there get hit hard and a woman could easily blackout from the pain.

    @@Logicalsane Most kidney stones are calcium oxalate. They form due to your food intake and your kidneys being too "dried out" to pass them through the urinary tract before they become a stone. Sodium intake really dehydrates you and so the hardest part about managing kidney stones is reducing your sodium intake (bye bye soda). The easiest part is to drink alot of water. Those are the two best things to do...drink alot of water...and reduce the sodium. Most nutrition labels at the grocery store have sodium noted. 2300mg a day is pretty good unless you've got a serious case. A doctor might also recommend reducing calcium intake but doing these other things should help tremendously.

    @@Logicalsane Staying hydrated is the correct answer, but it depends on what they're made up of, Logiclane is mostly correct, and some people won't build kidney stones naturally. If your calcium levels are off and you don't filter out your kidney levels quickly enough, then you run a higher risk. Oxalate isn't digested and passes through our systems, but can bind with calcium, and that's what happened to me. I got used to taking tums before bed, leaving excess calcium in my system and not drinking enough water consistently. I drink more soda now than I did when I got kidney stones, so that isn't a good metric for everyone. I won't eat spinach any more because it's completely overloaded with oxalate, and I starting trying to balance my electrolytes well. You need to look at your system as a whole, like pools and plumbing can get buildup if calcium levels are off (too little or too much), similar idea. But there are other types of kidney stones, and those might be for different reasons. My dad got calcium oxalate a couple times but he had uric acid stones which generally cause a different type of pain and form for different reasons, and probably because he had gout, fortunately for him the gout medication also prevented him from getting the uric acid stones.

    @@equilibrium1999 i mean, getting kicked in the balls is also ending the fight for you. undeniably, a good liver shot from someone who knows what they're doing is extremely painful, but personally i think an extreme force hitting your nuts is comparable to a liver shot. even more painful, in my opinion. i was playing lacrosse with my brother once, no armor, lacrosse ball went flying straight at my nuts, with his full power shot. that pain, even just thinking about the memory and writing about it now makes me tighten my legs and curl up slightly. and back when i was in a "boxing phase" obsessed with fighting, i was sparring with a friend, no gloves only handwraps, got hit in the liver just as i breathed in, great deal of pain (he wasn't half-assing that punch, we were seriously sparring to the point it felt like a real fight). despite that, no one can convince me otherwise that hitting the balls is not the most painful thing you can do to a man.

I do agree that getting kicked in the balls will hurt significantly more than being punched in the breast, as a woman. But a kick in the balls doesn't last as long as childbirth, nor are there are many possible complications and adverse affects as a result of being punched in the balls. I'd rate it, boob punch < ball kick < childbirth. Sounds fair to me.

If that is your argument, you are basically stating that an actor/actresses ability to play a wide variety of characters, to the point where they are unrecognizable, is dependent on how unmemorable/insignificant the role is. Which doesn't make sense. Have you seen how actors/actresses such as Meryl Streep, Michael Fassbender, Benedict Cumberbatch, etc. evolve to such a great extent for a role, to the point where you barely recognize them? This is all done whilst playing a role that IS memorable and significant. Emily Blunt is another perfect example. The OP was completely right.
