Emerson G3 trousers - Just as good as Crye Precision!? - Review

Ойын-сауық

Welcome back to the pants party... Today we take a look at the Emerson G3 combat trousers in Pencott Sandstorm. These came from ShooterCBgear in a massive sale. They are pretty outstanding quality for the price I paid! IF you want to see how they compare to other brands, check out the "Welcome to the pants party" playlist!

Convinced me to get Emerson Gen3 multicam pants. Unfortunately they cost quite a lot, but they have stretch panels around the knees and ass, much like Crye Precision. Once they arrive, I will test them out at the gym and update everyone with my personal review

These pants finally arrived. They are great. I can't even complain about the knee pads, they feel just fine. Easy to adjust and very comfortable. The stitching is solid and the multicam fabric is legit, matches my Multicam uniform by Tru-Spec

Did you have any sizing issues? I heard that you have to buy them one size larger

@andreaskellerer3987 I didn't have any sizing issues because I knew my waist measurement. For instance, people who buy their pants and find them too small assume that emerson would have the same sizing chart as brands like propper or tru spec, but they have their differences

Actually, yeah you end up getting a size bigger just because of how they label their sizes. Check their charts as they are perfectly accurate

FYI, ankle pockets are quite useful for small breaching charges, small stuff (bandages, mission relative items,...) that can fit in there without taking more place than needed in the cargo pockets which are usually used (on the real field) for food or other "mid size" items you could need without having to access your backpack

Well im surprised by a lack of the stretch pannels since I own g2 set Frombork emerson in Pencott Greenzone, and it has nice stretch pannels all over the pants

It may be that these are an early run. I’ve picked up a newer set that do include the stretch panels. I’m going to make an update video about those soon

It might be a custom job for something in that size. Normally I would recommend contacting either Roman Kurmaz at Kurmaz gear or USV gear. But they are both based in Ukraine and aren’t currently taking orders.

  • @magaz

I wore them extensively along side other pairs I own over a long period of time. By wearing them at home I mean in everyday life. Doing whatever I do in my down time. Whether that is just being at home or out on extensive fanny abouts in the woods. Standing on the roof of my car or knocking down walls at the studio amongst other silly things I get up to. I wasn’t just sat on the settee watching Jimmy Saville all day. I made sure I knew how they felt and would perform. A second grey pair of Emerson G3’s which I am wearing as I type this I have hundreds of hours in at work and know them inside out. I know their strengths and weaknesses. I don’t want to make un educated reviews to peddle wares for a company I have no affiliation with. I want to pass on what I have found from personal use.

There is not fake crye that is close to crye, I have had all fakes and currently have real crye g3, they are 1000% worse than real crye and if the fakes catch fire they will melt to you. Saying a fake us even close to as good as real is absolutely crazy.

It depends on your point of view. This is an airsoft channel, the majority of people looking at this content are looking to LARP around in their gear. And for those people, Emerson, TMC, FFind are going to be "just as good" as Crye. In a lot of respects in terms of the blend of the fabric, the stitching (not always in the case of the bar tacks that Crye use on their pockets and stress points) the clones are on level with quality. If I was going to do anything "real world" of course, I wouldn't go out and buy airsoft trousers. I'd stick with Arktis, Pentagon, Crye or USV gear etc. As for comparing the no drip, no melt of the Crye to airsoft gear, it's not really something as LARPers we are really looking for. The chances of us being in a situation where we are going to be set on fire are very, very minimal. - I have seen people have pyros land on them, or go off in their pockets and have come away with only minor damage to their gear/clothing/meaty parts, but never catch fire. - Not to say it hasn't or will not happen of course. It's just not high on the list of an airsofters priorities. What I will say though, is I do own Crye trousers. And I will give you that you do get a more solid boner when you wear them over the clones. And I have noticed a 69% buff to potential loss of virginity while wearing them.
