I think it performed that well with the trailer because the trailer eliminated the forward pitch under hard deceleration so there is more traction to the rear wheels as well. Good one!

I assume that the caravan had brakes as well. That is the key factor - not how well the tow vehicle brakes but how efficient the caravan brakes are.

Allot depends on the trailer brake controller and how it's set. ABS on the dirt would of seen a huge stopping distance (compared to a vehicle without ABS if there are any left out there?) so pays to test the entire rig to get a feel on both the black top and the dirt as the variance is huge. BMW GSA boxer Motorcycles now have ABS which can be deactivated for off road work. Sweet videos never a dull moment keep em coming!

Van has 4 braked wheel and same or less weight then the 200.... not surprising. Good design and set up would be the same.

Tailor helps too. First, tailor also have brakes and because of the tailor weight, SUV rear wheels make a better grip to the floor to decelerate quickly..

I'm not surprised. Kedron don't make rubbish and with a good controller this is exactly what I would expect. If I hadn't experience of towing a heavy camper I may have expected a different outcome.

Lyle Corvisy! It shows how powerful the brakes are. The whole body is travelling at 100km/hr and the powerful brakes did its job to stop the vehicle in a reasonable distance despite its size and speed. Thanks.

I'd say they let off the pedal to even up the distance. It's not abs as someone else mentioned and to prove a test like this you need data, I'd want to see the brake line pressure during braking at the very least, otherwise it's too easy to alter the outcome.
