@@VictorandMJ bali yung papa ko mam highschool graduate lang, nag work lang din dati sa hotel dto sa cebu bilang isang maintenance. At yung may ari nang River Cruise na Dutch nag check in sa hotel at na discover nya yung papa ko na magaling daw na maintenance. Ayun dinala nya yung papa ko sa Netherland at ginawa nyang maintenance at entertainer sa barko nya..

Ay ang galing ng Papa mo. Nakakatuwa Yung story nya. World class naman kasi talaga Filipino service. But for your dad to be noticed... that means he did very well. Nasa barko pa rin ba sya? I see Filipinos here and there sa river cruises, pero konti lang. Mostly nasa ocean cruises tayo. 💕

@@VictorandMJ wala na mam di na sya nakabalik . Sabi ni papa na luge daw yung River Cruise nung pandemic. Kaya bininta nang may ari ang mga barko nya . Tapos yung Dutch na may ari ay nandito na daw sa cebu nakatira kasi naka pangasawa nang pinay may edad narin kasi... ☺️

What a great vlog! Dining question: are you able to mix and match apps and mains as you could on an ocean cruise? If a main didnt appeal, could you double up on apps or request an app size of a main if the apps didnt appeal? Also, travel is an excuse for me to try lots of things I might never have had before, if I order something and don't care for it on an ocean cruise it's usually no big deal to replace it with something else. Is that possible on river cruises as well?

Hi John! Thank you for watching and providing feedback. It means a lot to us when we hear back from our audience. :D We have done a ship inspection of the Viking Cruise, seen the rooms/amenities - it's a pretty ship and the drink mixes were good. But we have not cruised with it yet. My travel agent colleagues have given mixed reviews. Things to note are that excursions are jam packed. It is a big group. And although they take deposits, you will have to pay in full a year in advanced. Also depending on preference, food are more american based. It really depends on what you personally expect, like and look for in a cruise to know if Emerald or Viking is better for you.

Hi MJ, thanks for replying. We just got back from a Viking Christmas market cruise from Amsterdam to Basel, we are looking at booking a different river for next Christmas. We ended up watching your Emerald video and just wondered how they compared to Viking if you’d ever travelled with them. So far they look very similar. Thanks again for replying. Safe travels.

@JohnJCampbell72 Ah, I would love to hear about your experience and takeaway with Viking? If Emerald seems the same to you, they have Scenic, which is a more elevated experience. Other companies you may want to look at are Avalon and AMA. I have sent clients with them and have lovely feedbacks. 😊👌

Hi Chrisina, as we embarked and stayed overnight in Amsterdam. So, the first day of the cruise was a tour of the canals of Amsterdam by a glass boat. But we also arrived a few days prior to the cruise and had the time on our own in Amsterdam. We created a separate video about it.

It's worth it to arrive early. You will be jetlagged, and there's so many places to visit and do in Amsterdam. It's a lot of fun!

Did it bother you that the bathroom is right next to the bed?

Hi Lisa, no it didn't. Because of it being a sliding door, it did not bother Victor while he was sleeping. Nor did it make any negative impact on our experience.
