Kenya is betting on solar energy to power households and drive industrialization. The National Drought Management Authority says Kenyans should take advantage of the abundant sunlight, especially in arid and semi-arid areas. Kenya is targeting to increase solar energy from the current less than 100 megawatts to around 600 megawatts by the end of the decade.
