@@lindacontois1094 So sorry to hear that you are having a stitch out problem-- the best support will be with your local dealer if possible. You can also find a lot of helpful information here: www.bernina.com/en-US/Support-US

I'm having issues where the bobbin doesn't collect a lot of the time on thin t-shirts. I've bought embroidery needles size 70, used 2 layers of cutaway and an embroidery foot on my Brother sewing machine. It seems to catch when I manually turn it, but not when using the foot pedal, even at slow speeds. I can't figure out why it's happening.

It seems as if you are doing things right as far as the stabilizer. Kay typically uses a size 75 needle instead of a 70. Double check that the needle thread is all of the thread guides and that the bobbin is inserted correctly. If the problem continues, we would suggest you take the machine to your dealer to check for any problems.

@@BerninaInternational Thanks. I tried a size 70/75/80 and different needles, ball point, stretch needles, even leather ones. I adjust the tension, re-thread, Nothing changes. I only get this when I take out the feed dogs (since there's no option to lower) and use thin fabric. I often speed the machine right up to brute force a few catches, then once it gets going, it's much better at zig zagging over the stitches already laid. It's very strange.

@@ArcanePath360 This is very strange indeed. We recommend that you take the machine to your BERNINA dealer so he can have a look at it.

I’m having a problem with my 440qe using the embroidery unit where in get 3/4 through an stich out then my computer screen tells me my foot is not lowered and the stop start button will not work. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

  • @BerninaInternational

It would probably be best to have your machine looked at by a certified technician, but here were some thoughts from our team: try a new USB cable, ensure that the foot is lowered entirely before beginning to sew, it is possible that the pressor foot sensor is malfunctioning. Best wishes and sorry for the delayed response.

Make video again, but then be veeeeery aware of the audio. This is just awful, I think the microphone is too close to the mouth or just a poor microphone.......

Dear Jules P, yes, agreed, the quality of the audio is not very good. We have learned from this. Many new videos with better audio have been posted on our channel since this embroidery tool tip has been uploaded in 2015. We hope you like them. Happy stitching!
