Also I’m so overwhelmed with all I need to know about embroidery and the conflicting information I’ve received from others, that I would greatly appreciate it if you would not mind answering my question. I had no idea that different stabilizers had different weights. I appreciate your time. Thank you.

  • @sandorvasas611
    @sandorvasas611Ай бұрын

    I'm a little confused. Are these stabilizers for the top or the bottom? Or both? As I saw usually there is a stabilizer on top which is transparent, and another on the bottom. I HAVE to use a stabilizer on top so the fabric won't distort, but currently I'm just using a transparent folder for testing (which is made for holding papers), because I don't know the exact name for such a top stabilizer.

    Hi, i was told that unbleached quilting muslin and no show mesh lightweight are good to use together when embroidering. Is this true? If not can you please tell me what fabric (and weight) should be used with what type of stabilizer (and weight) to eliminate puckering?

  • @EmbroideryLegacy

    @EmbroideryLegacy

    No-show mesh is one of my favorite stabilizers and I’m assuming it would aid to eliminate puckering. I would test it a see if your are satisfied with the results, so many options. Lately I’ve been playing with fusible interfacing and have been happy with the results, always learning and playing.

Listen to John, visit some shops, do your homework, and also, try to get to an ISS show if possible when one comes to a city near you.
