Problem for me in winter is not the cold in itself but the water which makes the road too slippery

Here the roads are wet or salt covered in the winter, luckily there's a good indoor rink community that I've been having a lot of fun in.

Love watching this on a Sunday morning while in bed. Every time I watch stuttering skater in action it motivates me to skate more like him. I’m no where near the skill level he has, but I can only dream about. Excellent song choices especially at 4:00pm mark I also got a snowsuit and only wore it once.

Finally a skating video I can relate to! Skating in the suburbs.

I played roller hockey back in the late 80s and my friends and I skated from the Queens Center Mall to Howard Beach and back but not like this. We wanted to live to see our adult years... LOL

Finally a video on Sunday. I will be able to enjoy it peacefully.

Started rollerblading last Spring and it has inspired my skiing. Now the idea of going backwards and doing some mild tricks actually makes sense. Gotta keep things fun.

I was skating in freezing temps myself today! Thankfully it only takes a few minutes to warm up once you get going.

I’ve been doing it too with salt on the ground. 😂 I learned new skill sets to balance myself in these conditions.

My man is a man of culture! Skiing was my inspiration to get into rollerblading as a Georgia boy we didn't get much snow unless we traveled for it. Blading gives me the same thrills of skiing!

Hahaha Suburb skating is rather nice, I will say. Hopping on and off clear sidewalks. It's a good time

Good stuff. My record this year was -15C and the only dry night in the whole January. Temperature is fine, as long as there are no water on the road.

Awesome video! I have lots of frozen lakes to skate on but miss rollerblading badly. Here it’s the sand and salt that prevent getting out much on wheels.

Noice!!! Perfect day for an Ari video! Excellent stuff as always. Love the poles! One of the reasons I picked up skating, was because I love skiing. But I’m also a tax accountant, so ski season = tax season. I’ve moved to the west coast, so after the deadline I’m going to head up Mammoth.

Hehe - first to cold, after 15 mins to cold. Sounds familiar. Worst is the cold back (if your older then 50) Luckyly were currently in the winter camp in Spain, so 2 shirts are far enough. Many nice locations worth a visit around here ;-)

I followed ur advice Week one, I was mastering just the correct balance and movement Week two, I started learning the t-stop Week three, I took them out in the wild I live in Massachusetts, so once I get better at it, I wanna take em for a spin out in Boston 👍

I feel like I would be sweating so bad in those ski pants unless it was in the teens F or below 😅. In the winter I often make the mistake of dressing TOO warm and getting super hot, ironically 🙃

I'm a quad skater but I am considering some inlines for street. Videos like this make a case for them. 👍 ...but maybe I don't need to be going that fast in the street though... 😂 Cool videos!

Any idea what the hardest wheel anyone makes is, for a 80/76mm setup? I got some that are advertised as 98A but the roads here suuuuck so they're still just thrashed after not that many miles

how cold was it? I used to skate in a cold weather a lot, but I've never tried to do it in ski outfit. Mb it's worth buying one...

Not that cold, it was just around freezing. I got warm very quickly haha

Skiing looks more fun but more skill is required. Better master rollerblading first. There's a quite a lot of teenagers in the Philippines going into skateboarding but almost zero rollerblading they're probably encouraged by the tricks they see online.

Do you ever get pulled over by the police? Pretty sure in the UK this would get me a warning by the Police at the very least

He might if he was doing that in the suburbs on the regular, but the police in nyc have bigger problems, plus their traffic is awful regardless.

Ironically, the only time I've been arrested was for wearing rollerblades while trying to take the train. I never have issues on the street.
