Embracing the Uncomfortable: Peter's Journey to Overcoming Anxiety | EP 041
In this podcast episode, DARE coach Michelle Cavanaugh was joined by Peter, a DARE Alumni, to share his personal journey of overcoming anxiety and panic attacks. Peter shared his initial skepticism about the DARE program but eventually embraced it, leading to significant improvements in his life.
This podcast episode highlights the importance of accepting and allowing uncomfortable sensations and thoughts without trying to control or eliminate them. It emphasizes that recovery from anxiety is not about eliminating all fear or sensations, but rather developing a healthier relationship with them. By learning to tolerate discomfort and recognizing that anxiety does not equate to danger, individuals can gradually regain control over their lives.

Michelle is such a smart and gifted communicator. I always benefit from her explanations.
It is just funny how "normal" people take their inner piece for granted. Living in a constant terror is life consuming. Someone can't stand 10 minutes of what we expiriencing for years.
Claire Weekes was pioneering this work in the 60s and was a huge help to me when I found her work in the 2000s
