Yah where
Brueggemann is bold, that is for sure! "Moses loved Israel more than God." "Moses told God what he would do!" Not sure to cry Heresy or Amen! I have heard him speak in person and I have read a bit of his stuff, I do think he is "on the money" with much of his OT theology and especially as it ties to 21st Century America and our Commodity system!

Pharaoh (Ra) means evil, whole Moses is a type of Intercessor/Messiah! As to the golden calf-we can't serve God and mammon-we are to lay up treasures in heaven-what we see is temporal, what is invisible is eternal!
