Hey guys :)... i've been sick since Im 22 years old, I'll be 45 this weekend.. My life didn't turn out in any way as I 'thought or planned' it too, I don't know if anyone's really ever does... Hard times will always come but so will the good times.. There will always be peaks and valleys but God will always get us through no matter what we face.. He is always walking with us... All we need do is trust in Him, in His Mercy an in His will and we will all get through the tough times.. Yes you are correct.. Suffering is never a waste... Ever.. You two are an incredible couple.... I know what chronic illness can do to a relationship, it takes a very deep unconditional love for one another and I see that in each of you for each other. You're going to have a good, Christ centered and long marriage together.. God bless you both.. XO

I had a mentor and pastor once tell me that pain is a physical response to stimuli, but suffering is an emotional response to pain. I am unsure how this concept relates to mental health unless one believes in the Jungian theory of the cause of mental illnesses.
