These colors, shapes and patterns are gorgeous! I have to admit, I do a lot more watching then making but now, I've gotten to the point I have bought so many materials for making clay/resin jewelry, that I dont have to buy a lot of things and wait for them to get here....this year, I want to really try to make a lot of what I've seen and wear it....THANK YOU FOR THE INSPIRATION, BEAUTY AND PEACE OF WATCHING YOU CREATE! 💙💜🦋👍😊

Thank you for continuing to create and share your gifts, talents, and abilities. You are one of the few Creators that actually give me an encouragement to create. YOU ARE LOVED!

Beautiful as usual. ❤️ I bought a few different colors of embossing powder that were on clearance at Michael's. I got my heat gun but dummy me forgot the embossing pen. 🤦♀️ I don't know if anyone else commented on it but that one pendant had a smiley face. 🙂 LoL I liked it.

That big piece is beautiful. It would be great attached to the top of a lid on a jar of something special. It would make a beautiful gift.
Hi Deb, it’s Barbara Adams-Gibson from the Facebook group and this was the video I saw previously with embossing powders and using a heatgun . That’s why I was asking you about how you cured embossing powders in the polymer clay oven without a heat gun. Thanks so much for all the sharing and lessons!
@clayboutique
2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Barbara! Yes, it’s fine to just put the pieces back in the oven, on the same temp you cure your clay. The heat from the oven will heat set the embossing powder 💕
I am going to make myself one of these
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻!!! Очень красиво 😍.
bloody brilliant Deb ! i agree with Beverly here down under the prices are more expensive and supplies are not what they used to be , hopefully it will get better

Thank you. Honestly, I used to hate Mokume Gane. I could never get it right. Now I think it’s one of my favorite techniques, because it’s so versatile. The key is to keep it simple, and not make your layers to thin.
So pretty Deb! Unfortunately I’ve given up my clay ‘playing’ - here down under, supplies are still not back to what they were pre Covid plus the price has increased somewhat but I still get a lot of enjoyment from watching. Thanks for making it interesting. 🐨

These are gorgeous! If you don’t have a heat gun is there anything else we can use? If I popped them back in the oven would that work?
@clayboutique
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, you could put them back in the oven!
Thank you for demonstrating the use of embossing powder on baked pieces. Can embossing be used on raw clay and then be set in the heat from the oven? The copper embossing powder full on popped with the colors of the pendant! I'm not feeling as intimidated to try this technique now. Thankyou again😁
@clayboutique
2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can use it on raw clay and set in the oven. The downside to that is that the powder would stick in areas other than where you want it to stick, which is why I apply it to baked clay. The excess can then be brushed off. You could always apply to baked clay, then put back in the oven to set the powders.
I wonder if clear embossing powder could be an alternative to resin/glaze? I have embossing powder tools from cardmaking.

Thank you. Oh, ummm…I’m really bad at saying how much clay I use, coz I don’t pay that much attention, tbh. I would say each tear drop was about 1 stick from a 2oz block of Premo.

Can you please tell me if you resin the back of all your peices? TY
@clayboutique
Жыл бұрын
No, not all of them. Depends what kind of pendant I’m making. Sometimes I texture them, sometimes I sand and buff them.
Do you have to resin them? I’m wondering about the durability of the embossing powder on the clay. Will it last or does it need to be sealed?
@clayboutique

The embossing powder does need sealing, but it doesn’t have to be resin.
