Nice review trying to decide from the grosky or earthtech

How far were the flowers?

That scope as a good rating and for the price including a bipod $ 128 Canadian.Ilm going to pick one up an extra 60-inch bipod is $31 on Amazon. Good review

Well, at least you showed me how the use it. I am very disappointed by my Christmas gift, so I am returning it. I am an old lady and bird watch. My son thought I would like this scope. I cannot even focus in on birds. I think this is for hunters, am I correct? I can't lay on the old ground to watch a bird. Can the scope be used with the tripod.? Please answer my question because my son in the military will be disappointed I did not like the gift. I just think this is incompatible with bird watching. What do you think? Thank you.

Hello Tess. Sorry to hear that this might not work out for you. In a sense this is just a small telescope and can be used by someone to sight at distances. There are two adjustments, one to increase magnification and one to fine focus. Sounds like it may be an issue with the fine focus. Could also be that you may be trying to focus on something too close? It doesn’t work to well at things closer then 20 yard even with the main power at x20. The knob on the top center is the fine focus and may need to be turned quite a bit for the focus. I turn mine quickly in the direction that makes it better and when it gets worse I slowly go back the other way. This unit has a standard screw that should work with almost any tripod or monopod and I would definitely recommend using a tripod as staying steady at long distances is very hard. I can’t stay that steady lol. So I’d say try with the setting at 20, find an object about 40 yards away and use the fine focus to dial it in. Also make sure the lenses are clean and not fogged over or smudged. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help answer and please thank your son for me for his service and sacrifice.
