Cab ride from Ely Down siding to Manningtree Refuge Siding with route information of how to exit Ely Sidings and how to enter Manningtree Down Refuge Siding when traveling on the Up Main.

Thanks for this one. It was interesting to see how the lead carriage on this tamper reacted to the wet spots you went over from time to time.

@iantaf5559 The trailer shows how bumpy the ride can be as the suspension on the machines are not as good as the ones on passengers trains but the gopro hides that
Great video showing shunting moves at Ely, when they rebuilt the bridge after just joining single line, built for double track

@@AngliaCabRides-vv5ck I missed that, there was talk of doubling it to Ely plus reinstating chord toward Cambridge, not sure if either will happen

@martyn6792 They were meant to replace the S&C at Chippenham Jn but that has been put on hold not sure why or for how long

Apparently the government is spending money on improving Ely junction. Does anyone know what this will involve?

Great video but shouldn't somebody do something about the brakes? They don't half make a racket.

@chrsrwlns thank you for watching, the brakes do get a lot of comments regarding the noise but they are safe and get tested/inspected before and after each shift or journey
Very Interesting, but it seems to be a horrible thing to have to push with it crashing and banging about...
