I absolutely love Elvis' rehearsals. He is great and wanted to please his fans. He wanted everything to be perfect for his fans. I can't think of another artist who put so much into his shows. He lives on in our hearts through his music. God Bless Him.

Sometimes he sounded like a little boy when joking around...thinking that was due to his upbringing and being so protected by his mom. I hope they are all at peace in heaven.

Did Elvis ever have a sense of the talent and beauty he had? Did he ever imagine that 42 years later he would continue to be remembered and loved?

To answer your questions. No He thought other musicians were better like Tom Jones, Roy O & many others. With his look, yeah he knew how good looking he was and always looked to improve it with Hair Dye, Nose job, face lift, mascara. Billy smith said that he was in the bathroom looking at himself in the mirror and he said I'm one lucky son of a bitch. Also he never thought he would be remembered, Cilla etc always said he worried but the one I think that's nice is what his nurse said. He asked her do u think they'll remember me when I'm gone ? .... oh, Elvis, Yes !! They'll remember you alright & she said he just smiled.

People don't understand Elvis had God-given talent he couldn't read music but knew how to put together a hit-making arrangement for a song. I am so mad I was a little girl when he was alive. I would have a applied for job as maid at Graceland just to be near him.🤣

If you have not watched " Follow That Dream" hope you will, he was so funny in this movie. A side of Elvis and his talent. The part in the court room was some of the best acting, it came from his heart. Fan from 1955.

I love his rehearsals. He's so funny human a sweet. He looked really good in 1970. A after his divorce he was never the same. He was very heartbroken a it showed.

He had a great sense on humor. It worked because he didn't ever take himself seriously. He loved to play with words and he was good at it. I doubt that anyone cringed, except during his last 1977 concert when he was obviously stoned and very ill. . . just a few weeks before his death.

He was NOT stoned. He was nervous and deathly ill. He tried to do his best to put on a good show but it wasn't easy. If anything he should have been on stronger pain medication for the serious illness he had.
