I have always loved Elvis Presley. Been a fan of his since I was a little girl and especially started to become a bigger Elvis fan in my 20's and 30's. I don't think it's strange or weird at all to be in your teen years, or your 20's and love Elvis or be in love with Elvis. He was a real person that had incredible talent and charisma. The thing is, Elvis wasn't just an artist with a beautiful voice and was gorgeous but he offered more than that. You could feel the passion in his voice of how much he loved to sing. He really enjoyed making others happy. His music moves me. Very rarely does an artist make me cry when I hear their songs but Elvis does that. I think in fact, of all artists I listen to, Elvis is the one that has made me cry the most. I don't call my passion for Elvis Presley as an obsession but an admiration. It's good to admire talent and Elvis had so much. I think that's why so many millions of people loved him and will always love him. And he keeps creating new fans too! I'm so happy I grew up listening to Elvis. I'm proud to be an Elvis fan. He's the best. Funny thing is, I'm the biggest Elvis fan in my family. I don't know where I got this love and affection for him but I know he's always going to be my favorite. Nobody will ever be as great as the King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley. Love you Elvis! ☺😍❤🎵🎸🎤👑
In the past I was also bullied for my love for the music of Elvis Presley. But my connection was, and still is, so strong. I'm proud to see now I am not standing alone admiring him.

@@MaryPatricia There was something about Elvis that was almost supernatural.
Nothing weird about loving Elvis. His music lives on. I remember in 4th grade my friends asking who I loved - Elvis Presley or Donny Osmond. At the time I had no ideal who Donny was til that summer. Donny was the first one I heard sing The Twelfth of Never. My first albums were of Elvis. One of my favorite songs is "I Did it My Way." My dad used to tease me about Elvis. His youngest sister loved him and had a picture of herself sitting in front of his house. My mom recently passed away and I found cassettes of Elvis in her belongings.
No it’s not strange that you love Elvis Presley! I’m with you on that ride! No one will EVER top Elvis.. I’m mean what a beautiful human being so many levels!! He is my sweet sweet obsession.. so good to hear others speak so highly of him.
There is no apologizing for loving Elvis. Because we are the ones who have been blessed who get to embrace the greatest entertainer there ever was who emotionally moves us when he sings. The people out their who do not feel the way we do well that is just their loss. We will will always have Elvis that's our reward. By the way I missed Mary Patricia love the videos

yesss! thank you Martin!🙌🏻
Why do we love a dead person or artist? WHY NOT?? Mankind today and at all times stands on the shoulders of dead persons. And every artist stands on the shoulders of dead artists. That's why people still love Mozart, Beethoven and.... and.... ELVIS. 😊

I understand how you feel about being the "only one" you know who loves Elvis. Every song you talk about is so very special.."The Twelfth of Never" is beyond beautiful...yes I cry ever time I hear it.. ( I confess I tear up with most of his ballads). Elvis kindness to family..friends...employees...strangers was such a big part of who he was and he tried to just help people quietly.
Smart young girl! 💯
It's true, Elvis is amazing, but so are you. 😊

haha thanks so much, that’s so kind :)
It would weird if you DIDN'T like Elvis...Elvis was a gift that God gave to the world...Another one would be Walt Disney. I believe that God has predestined some people to be who they are, and who they become. I've witnessed many people who didn't necessarily care for Elvis because they knew little to nothing about him , suddenly become big Elvis fans when they took the time to finally get to know him and his music. So, no, you're not weird because you like Elvis...There are hundreds of millions of people the world over who have been touched by this man. And if you still think you're weird, well, you certainly have a whole lot of company. God bless and stay safe!

haha yes i loved this!! so true!
“I’ll Remember You” always reminds me that the “Aloha From Hawaii” special raised money for the Kui Lee Cancer Fund, in memory of the writer of the song who died of lymph gland cancer in 1966.
Elvis popularity has endured since the 1950's to this very day. If your an Elvis fan no explanation is nessessery, if not, no explanation is possible.

george kline said it best!! 🥰💞
I love all elvis music I esp love his gospel music his music always had a message to them ,in the ghetto, if I can dream , there just so many
The Wonder Of You, There’s Always Me, Always On My Mind, Are You Lonesome Tonight, In The Ghetto, Love Me Tender, If I Can Dream, It Hurts Me, Don’t Cry Daddy, Today Tomorrow and Forever are definitely the ones that hit the hardest for me and the messages. Some of them I can’t listen to unless I’m by myself because they will make me cry. I’ll have to check out the ones you mentioned! I’m a lifelong Elvis super fan. I’m definitely obsessed! I’m 25 years old. I’m glad I found your channel!
Love this! I agree on all points! Especially being an Elvis loner in real life!

it’s a struggle 🥵 haha thanks for watching Ashley!!
Watched earlier the documentary on Netflix Elvis the searcher. Tell you what. I dont thee is something or someone like Elvis in old and modern history. His charisma , presence , magnetism are unmatched throughout all generations. Unbelievable icon . Never seen anything like that. period.
When Elvis heard his demo of the “If I Can Dream” recording, I love how he looked at Steve Binder and said “I’m never gonna sing another song I don’t believe in!” Great job Mary❣️. 💕 TLC💕

I think I understand that perfectly. So your heart joins the countless hearts of Elvis fans who have been hurting for 43 years now. And yet, there is a lot more to experience on the Elvis journey. Joy and happiness, amazement, admiration and love...
Is It So Strange - ha, I get it with Elvis. There have been a lot of people that think I'm strange because I never liked current pop music and I like Oldies & Elvis!
Young lady I wish every Elvis fan was like you you explain things so well I have been an Elvis fan all my life and that's a long time LOL you get it you understand that he was a wonderful human being on top of being so talented there will only be one Elvis nobody can ever match his personality his charisma his humanity thank you for what you do to respect that you have for Elvis is remarkable keep doing what you're doing girl

this means so much to me! thank you.💗
Except for one friend who is an ETA in my state, I'm the only person I know who likes/loves Elvis. It's weird to me that others don't see how incredible he was and still is. I like all of these songs you mention as well! One new fave is "They Remind Me Too Much Of You" from "It Happened At The World's Fair." That recording is so amazing especially if you listen with earphones, it feels like Elvis is sitting right next to you in a quiet room.

Elvis sang from his soul! There are many songs tjat make hair on my arm stand up. My wifw and. I saw him three times in concert. His gospel songs areso special. He was the greatest and made you hear the lyrics and feel the soul.of the song!
I see is it so strange on a whole new level now... It's so cool. Thanks Mary 👌✌️♥️
One of my favorite sayings by Elvis and I'm sure you have heard it is, "To admire someone lifts you up, to Envy someone brings you down, so which is better" ?
I didn’t know he recorded The Twelfth of Never?! I LOVE that song! The Donny Osmond version is my fav
I’ll Remember You has a haunting sadness to it that’s amplified by the story behind it, and because Kui Lee didn’t get to see the success of the song.
I know I am late to the party on this video. But, yes Do You Know Who I Am, If I Can Dream, and Walk A Mile in my Shoes are fabulous. Others for me are Words, There's Always Me, They Remind Me To Much Of You, Love Letters. But of course everything from him us absolutely amazing.
ELVIS=LIVES=FOREVER!!! 🤣💋🎸🕺🎸💖🤗🤣

A song that always has a lot of meaning for me is "The Fair's Moving On". We all go through different phases in our lives, changes happen, and this song does a great job of capturing that feeling.
“This Is The Story” is one that always hits me. Holy crap is it deep and sung so passionately. These lyrics “But the words I am reading could apply to myself” 😭🙌🏻❤️ Another song that’s well overlooked.
I’m definitely the same way. My grandma is the only person I know IRL that loves him.
Always on my mind separate ways what now my love
When he sings I'LL BE THERE I feel like he is there. 😊🌼😊

Sweetheart, your love for Elvis isn't weird! Not at all. Thank you for this video. 😊 Yes, Elvis didn't say much in public about the political circumstances of his time. His position on the injustices of the time can be seen in his actions and character! His generosity, his willingness to help, his "color blindness", his desire to give love. To name just a few points. If every person who criticizes him for allegedly being too apolitical only brought a tenth of the good into the world he brought, then the world would be a much better place today.

I have watched a few of your videos now, it warms my heart that Elvis and his music has touched your heart. I feel that there are people who get "it" when it comes to Elvis. You are one of those people. I applaud you. I also love the song " Do You Know I Am", I feel it is an underrated gem of a song.

i've always loved is it so strange. two more from the 50's that are faves of mine are Playing for keeps & Any Way You Want Me all the songs you picked are good😊
that is an interesting story about not knowing others that like Elvis. My birthday is actually August 16th, so when i was growing up i always took note when i'd hear people talk about Elvis. I have converted a couple people to liking Elvis, although not as big a fan as myself.
I have liked Elvis since I was 4 years old I’m now in my 60s I love his song Any Way You Want Me 1957

This is a beautiful video... I absolutely love your passion. I get it! I feel this exact way. Your explanation of each song is fab and great to listen too. Is it so strange!!!! Beautiful!!! I am in my late 30s so technically not young anymore (jeez) but I get the loner part... back in my teens and 20s... i felt those is it so strange lyrics too!!! I luckily found my local branch of the Elvis fan club and made friends for life at my Elvis monthly dances! It made me realise.... the Elvis family is a big one!!! I still attend my Elvis holidays and you know everyone in the room is obsessed with Elvis! It’s an amazing feeling. I met my husband there too... it means something to be surrounded by people who get you! Loved this xxx TCB ⚡️⚡️⚡️
