You don't understand? So being a drug addict is not something you would consider a "bad thing"? Both men have a lot to be admired for (Ali much more in my opinion, as a human being, since he fought for stuff bigger than just himself) but neither man was perfect, and specially Elvis was quite flawed...that does not take away from him being one of the best performers ever...but what is it with people today that turn everything into a cult? I can see defects or flaws where there are some and that does not take away from the things that are great...unless you are religious (which I'm not) your god is really about the only thing that would be perfect (if it were real) but anybody else is likely to have flaws. Albert Einstein is the historic figure I admired the most, but he was a terrible father and a wife cheater...that does not take away from him being the most brilliant physicist ever, I won't pretend he was perfect just because I like that other fact. Do you know, maybe, understand better people that have criticism of historic figures?

@@tonyduarte417well said! I love Elvis, but there is no denying he was a flawed individual with his substance abuse, numerous affairs, and rather questionable political views. However, he's still the King and one of the best performers of all time (imo). I'm sure Ali was a bad husband as well, but it doesn't take away from his boxing achievements. Being flawed makes us human. P.S. I heard about Einstein's relationship with his wife and the contract he made her sign about their marriage. It was certainly a very strange relationship to say the least 🤣.

You're very very welcome🍻oh and thank you thank you very much🤗you know what's strange (almost supernatural really) is Gordon Stoker one of Elvis's backup singers with the Jordanaires was born in the same little town as my Grandmother in Gleason Tennessee my Grandfather was born on January 8 (same as Elvis)to top that off after her dad (James Higgins) died her mother remarried to a guy with the last name Brown can't recall the first name but his middle name was Elvis now ain't that goofy another thing is the Jordonaires were named after Jordon creek in Springfield Missouri where I use to live, the Creek ran through a cave I use to go in that is really something ain't it?🍻uncanny is more the word should say,oh yeah the guy my great grandma remarried was Walter his middle name was Elvis last name Brown they married in Tennessee in 1935 that was the same year Elvis was born that's unreal man downright goofy🤗

The following was quoted by Chuck Norris "Like myself, it appears Elvis was introduced to the world of self defense while in the military. He would study many styles under many different ethnic instructors throughout his life. In 1959 he started as a student under German Juerge Seydel (a Shokotan sensei), then was mentored under Japanese Teugio Murakami (a Shokotan master), Korean Kang Rhee (Sa-Ryu TaeKwon Do Grandmaster), Americans Hank Slemansky (a Chito Ryu stylist) and Ed Parker (the founder of American Kenpo - who would remain his lifelong teacher) and Filipino Dan Inosanto (later Bruce Lee's student), under whom Elvis would eventually earn his black belt. No one can doubt Elvis' musical and theatrical genius, creativity and magnetism as a performer. And as far as his martial arts abilities, he truly was pretty impressive, flexible and tough.` Chuck Norris

If elvis was still alive he would have had way more money then Michael just saying. Elvis is was an actor, comedian, musician, pilot, etc yeah he was like Michael but he had achieved more just look at his audience records he had as much as Michael back then and that was way back can you imagine now. Micheal Neo Y ou're delusional af lol it's nearly imposible to find someone in this globe who doesn't know mj even north koreans and african tribes know micheal jackson ...elvis's popularity was only limited to the western world .I'm from africa btw ...if you'de go to the amazon you would still find people who know and regonize micheal jackson ...another thing elvis and the beatles are almost unknown for the younger generations outside the us and europe ...and youtube views are a great proof ... mj is even more popular now after his death ..his songs are teached in primary schools so even 3 years old kids know him .even If people didn't somehow know of Jackson's musical accomplishments, they certainly saw Jackson as at least a curiosity.Everyone knows the name of Michael Jackson, he is even known simply by his initials MJ. You have to be highly well known for that to happen. Thriller is the most popular album ever made, and his music and his dances are played and seen everywhere you go. He is so famous that simply imitating one of his many talented and iconic dance moves will make people think of him In the videos (of the 80s to 90s - no internet era) of MJ’s visit to some countries.. he is welcomed by a huge number of fans right at airport and on the roads. Something that today’s pop stars cannot achieve in spite of a heavy internet penetration in third world countries now. People may complain his glory is overrated but its a fact that this guy is a global icon, like him or hate him but you know (famous) him.

If you ask anyone who the most famous person in the world they'd say: "MICHAEL JACKSON! " or Jesus depending on who you ask ...Probably the only person in the history of entertainment with as much global recognition as Michael Jackson is Charlie Chaplin. Probably Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan would be following after them in the list.

*Two of the most giving and beloved human beings to walk the Earth.* I met Ali in the mid 70's. I was eating alone at a little outside table under a big oak in Natchez, Mississippi... and someone taps me on my shoulder. It startled me and I turned around fast only to find the champ standing there! Thought I was seeing things! We introduced ourselves. He said he was in town to shoot a movie with Chris Kristofferson and Marlon Brando. I told him I was a local, born and raised in Mississippi and he asked if he could join me. Well, hell yeah! He had a small black leather doctor's case with him and I soon learned it was full of magic tricks. Ali then asked if I would watch him and give him an honest critique. Well, hell yeah!! In short, he was an incredible magician, and I was a blown away critic! The thing about Ali is that he was full of love and he just never met anyone he didn't like. And even with all the racial tensions still happening in Mississippi in the mid 70's, it is hard for anyone to hate someone who already loves them! He did a tremendous amount of positive influence in bringing people together. What a wonderful guy! The world is a better place because of Elvis and Mohammed Ali.

I was in film school at USM at the time and Ali got me onto the set and into the movie that evening! I actually was in a scene with Ali and Kristofferson when the KKK rode in looking for escaped slaves. It was a big action, shoot'm up scene! Awesome!!! I later got Ali to pose in a photo with me. When I heard that Elvis had died, now so many years ago, I believe I wept, but it was so long ago that I'm not quite sure today that I remember that with certainty. As a kid I adored Elvis. When I heard many years later that Ali had died, I wept, and of that I'm absolutely certain. My sense of Ali being lost to humanity rushed from me unstoppably. It moves me this moment to think that these two people who've come to mean much to me might have had a respect and affection for each other. There are many obscene human devils in the world, but my heart tells me that Ali and Elvis weren't among them.

Two humble humain beings that express love in different tune one with his hand and the other with his voice what a combination and synchronisation. Both symphonies missing but left their art in the air and written in the hearts of everyone of us.

Damn, talk about balls to put Ali on the floor without even having first established a friendship, and what does this say about Muhammad Ali? Pure class.

If you look at the photo, Muhammad Ali is wearing the robe that Elvis had made for him. Elvis apologized to Muhammad Ali for the misspelling on the back. It was supposed to say "The People's Champ", but instead the person that Elvis contracted to make it wrote "The People's Choice" by mistake. Muhammad Ali said he liked it better that way, and wore it into the ring for his fight with Ken Norton. You can find pictures of Ali wearing it into the ring, and see the inscription if you do a Google search.
