Danny Smith (Memphis mafia kid) is hoping someone will make a movie about Elvis’s humanity. More focused on Elvis the person rather than Elvis the entertainer. I think that’s a wonderful idea and hope it comes to fruition someday soon. He was such a lovely man with a heart of gold.💛

@CarolynLuvsElvisForever0910 I would love to see this happen too. I was disappointed in the Elvis film because it didn't really show his personality, his sense of humour or his kindness.

@@janetd6686 Hi Janet, I agree the movie did not show Elvis true personality, but that movie is what made me discover Elvis. I took my 80-year-old mother to see that movie and was blown away by his story. I always knew of Elvis, but never gave him a chance. I was a teenager in the 80s, so wasn’t really my time. I think the movie brought loads of new fans to Elvis. Now I’m completely obsessed.😊

@CarolynLuvsElvisForever0910 I am also obsessed! I started watching videos on KZread of Elvis performing, during lockdown and since then I've read about 100 books about him and listen to his music every day.

@@janetd6686 That’s awesome! All I listen to is Elvis now and I’ve always loved all genres of music. I drive my family crazy because that’s all I play now. I currently have an eight hour playlist on Spotify Elvis only. Lol I just love him. Can’t get enough. Got me on the books. I’ve probably read about five books so far. I also loved watching people react to Elvis on KZread. Seen a ton of movies and documentaries. He was the greatest entertainer, singer, musician and humanitarian that ever lived. Not to mention the most handsome man that ever lived.❤️

Me again Louie, regarding Elvis inability to sleep alone. As a child, he told his mother that among hearing Angels in heaven, singing on high, that other voices came to him. Deep south, particularly at that time, was filled with superstition and fear of supernatural. Terrified that her son would be perceived as insane or worse, demonically possessed, Gladys forbid her son to speak of such things. A neighbor however said Elvis had the gift and he had it in spades. We know that he was an insomniac, a sleep walker and would have others stay with him at night. Kathy Westmoreland said she was once called upon to leave the comfort of her own hotel room (she may have been entertaining). In her pajamas, she marched past the bodyguards and into Elvis’ room where they both went to sleep. Jo smith told us that Elvis once sang a full rendition of O’Danny Boy (her favorite) to her over the phone then followed up with a request that she permit husband Billy to stay with him that night. Every one sees this as one of Elvis’ quirks but, I think Gladys Presley’s warning to her son always stayed with Elvis and he remained silent on this subject. There is no question that Elvis vibrated with a type of kinetic energy, powerful enough to be felt even before he entered a room. Even as I write this, I wonder if others will regard me as a nutball. Imagine then, how Elvis might have felt about discussing the supernatural. I though it very interesting that he once said in a 1962 interview “ it’s nothing supernatural” when the interviewer had not thrown that into question. Another long comment from me Louie, but let me just add that I am saying my prayer for your beautiful Aurora. ❤️

Hello, no worries you’re not a nutshell. I often have wondered why that side of him is not made more public. He had healing hands, he once stopped the rain or at least it didn’t rain on him and his mafias. He waved his hands on a bush and the leaves would moved. Anyway, I read all this and more. I’ve learned a lot about Elvis because I love the man that he was; I feel very close to his Spirit.

In Sofia Coppola's movie, the rape did not happen - PB was threatened. This contradicts the book (and the 1988 TV series), because PB admits there was sex. Anyway, which purpose does this scene serve? IMO, it just shows that the marriage was over - they didn't understand each other anymore.

PB's life after Elvis - 50 or more years long - has not been a 100% fairy tale, as it wasn't for Lisa Marie. Lisa exposed her life publicly, even when she was a scientologist. PB never said a word about Scientology, even Navarone does not know if she left it or not. All she talks about in interviews is Elvis, Sofia Coppola's movie is only Elvis (although it is called Priscilla) - what about the following 50 years? IMO, Elvis is not the reason of her problems. Navarone came to Brazil to find his Brazilian relatives, his origins - does Elvis have to do anything about this? Unfortunately she is not a likable person - unless Lisa Marie's book helps me change my mind about PB, she will continue to be unlikable - and Elvis has absolutely nothing to do with it.
