Elvis, in my opinion, is the first artist that has always been hyper aware of his audience. He always wanted to make sure that they got the best experience from his performance... he was an artist that always cared about the best quality performance for his fans!
@joe6096

Part of that comes from the fact he grew up poor and knew that kids would save up a long time just to buy a record or even just play it once on a jukebox. His country roots endured him to the fanbase and partially what made everyone on the planet love him so much.

The electricity was insane, two girls next to me passed out and hit the floor. They had little nurses stations in the isles and they ran over and waved the things under their noses. They immediately jumped back up and started screaming like nothin had happened. Blew a 9 yr olds mind, I chased that feeling w other bands for 30yrs, ain't happening. Nobody ever created the hysteria that guy did, plus he looked so good and was way cool. Nothing like these modern day punks, he didn't have to act cool he was the epidimy of cool. I believe it wasn't meant for him to live long, he knew it, talked about it. There was never going to be an "old" Elvis

@@Hugeroost Yes, I was there too. My parents took me to his concert in Huntsville, AL 1975. I was also 9 years old but honestly I went to watch Ronnie Tutt more than Elvis because I was an aspiring drummer at the time. I learned so much from Ronnie and went on to have a great career in music as a session drummer, producer as well as teaching. I met Ronnie several times at the music trade shows later in life when he was working with Neil Diamond. We had several dinners together along with our reps and he shared many stories about life on the road with Elvis. I was very sad to here when he passed.

I would have liked to have asked him the difference I'm playing you Neil and Elvis. I like Neil but he's not in E's zip code. My favorite drummer, Neil Peart, passed not long ago as well. Well if Joe Esposito and the other people who profess to have loved him so much, would have found a way to get him the help he desperately needed, surely someone could have talked to him regarding his drug and food addictions he had. If there's a problem there's always a solution, to convince themselves that they loved him, however he died in the most undignified way - on the toilet while his drugged up girlfriend slept until 6 hours later, there's no use to do CPR on a corpse. He died 40 years at least before his time, but thank goodness for channels like this to show us scenes we may not have seen before. Thanks for your channel.

@@Rob-yu1lw Its very easy to say that but have you ever dealt with an addict? Its very hard they will do anything to get that high. If they dont they will become very mean. Elvis as a youngster according to relatives used to steal his mothers diet pills. Diet pills in the 50s contained meth. So elvis like the buzz they generated. From there he got on uppers in the army to stay awake. and slowly elvis couldnt sleep because of the combination of pills then in the mid 60s came the pain pills or opiods. So elvis was on pills before his fame and continued until his body had to have them. No one in the world could do anything at that time as elvis was a junkie. The people who tried to talk to him elvis just shunned. If you read books on his memphis mafia it tells that they tried but then they just got chewed out bad or fired. I think at that time there was no betty ford clinic or little was known on how to treat addicts especially prescribed pills. So theres no one to blame but elvis himself. He actually got friends and fans addicted to pain pills even his step brothers got in trouble with them. Pricilla and linda thompson did them everyone around him.

PRESENCE, Few big names can be said to have the type of presence Elvis had. When we say someone has presence, we are saying that they impress us by their presence and ...whatever. How often we've heard big names and others state that when Elvis made an appearance, it felt like something special was happening in that place. Even before he reached the stage. Even before he opened his mouth to sing. In fact most times he seemed so taken aback by the loud reception, as when he did Vegas the first time dressed in white. He paused and smiled to take it in. His audience exploded with excitement. And, for many, tears of joy. And that's before Elvis opened his mouth to sing his first title. It was July 31, 1969, and Elvis Presley was all keyed up. It was opening night at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, and he was about to give his first full concert appearance since 1961. Hey, you must remember this. That's all right mama followed by Mystery train. THE KING WAS BACK. Did you say PRESENCE 🤔🤔🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶

As a young child, Elvis, coming from a poor family, was impressed with the way black men dressed on Beale st. Little did he know than many were just pimps ! So he started dressing to emulate them . He loved how the guys dressed in blaxploitation films . Which is funny cause Shaft actor Richard Roundtree often tried to dress like Elvis. He never, ever wore leans as it reminded him of his poverty life. Like the vast majority of men prior to todays worlds influence , they came from strong families with masculine fathers and supportive mothers and were always attracted to women. Many black, Hispanic and even Asian men dress in multi colors even today. It’s the stigma and pressure put on makes by the jeans wearing peers that changed that . Even my dad, like all men of his era wore suits to baseball games. European men like my dad and many Italians wore sharkskin suits , which were shiny ! Italian men always dresses similar to Elvis. The hippie pressure of the 60s changed many to stop being their own men and confirm to this new fake religion !
