Facts You Didn’t Know About Elvis Presley
It may surprise some to learn that the ultimate performer was exceptionally shy when he grew up. He learned to play the guitar as soon as he got it and started singing too. He was so good at singing that when he was 12 years old, a local radio station offered him a chance to sing on one of their shows, but he turned the opportunity down for a reason that’s very un-Elvis: he was too scared.
The King’s breakout hit was actually an ominous song about a man who jumped out of a window in a hotel in Kentucky. The single’s name was “Heartbreak Hotel” and it was released in 1956. It became his first million-dollar seller, and just like every other song he released, he didn’t write it.

Great clips. I have to correct the guy narrating this video. Elvis Presley was and is and for ever will be the biggest star that has ever walked this planet. The world crowned him King for a reason no one before and after him, impactected the world of music and entertainment like and as much as Elvis Aaron Presley. The World Crowned Him, The One and Only True King of Music and Entertainment Elvis Aaron Presley. Greatest of All Time. Until The End Of Time.

@@elvis78ale Elvis as a 12year old invited on a Radio Station to sing?! The myth of "Elvis The Pelvis" and "King of Rock'n'Roll "...the Mae Boren Axton "Heartbreak Hotel" Story behind the Song and Elvis hair was black in July 1954 when the Radio D.J. Dewey Phillips played SUN 209 14x in a row etc. etc....are these are facts?! Respectfully elvis78ale🙂

@@haraldtrittner4396 Yes, absolutely. Maybe you have to read something more about Elvis😂. The "fact" of the radio is true..if I'm not wrong it happened at WELO in the program called Jamboree, the show for amateurs in Tupelo with Mississippi Slim. It's also true about the failed audiction for the Songfellows and the story behind the lyrics of "Heartbreak Hotel" written by Mae Axton(and Tommy Durden). She got the inspiration reading an article in a newspaper about a boy's suicide and the note he left with the words " I walk a lonely street " . The" Elvis the Pelvis" nickname came the first time from an article written after one of the appearances at the Milton Berle's Show. I advice you to read the biography by Peter Guralnick. It is very accurate and many of these facts are told in the book and in many others as well.
