In 1972 I worked security for 3 of Elvis' concerts. Spoke to him and his dad quite a lot. Believe when I say pictures don't do him justice. He truly was the entertainer of the century. Dennis Drew

I've listened to this man my whole life and he still gets me in the heart with his songs and voice .

I was watching TCM tonight and saw the Elvis concert documentary where Elvis sings this song. It reminded me of what happened to me 35 years ago. August 16, 1977 came and I received a call from Memphis,TN. A man called to offer me a new job with a promotion in Memphis. I asked if I could call him back the next day after I talked to my wife and he said o.k. I got in my car and turned on the radio. That's when I heard the news that Elvis died. We went to Memphis and my life changed for ever more.

It's a privilege to be an Elvis fan...... we recognise just how much he gives to us. I honestly believe that this man was a gift , from God if there is one. All the emotions are there. Love, Loss,sadness ? loneliness,humanity, hope. Elvis was in touch with the essence of life and was gifted with the means to get this across in song and performance. Even his imperfections were an expression of his humanity and humility. It is not sacrilegious to say that he was Christ like. ...God understands what I mean, frailty yet true love and humanity. Funny for real.lol I lived in the countryside of Memphis and passed by Graceland often. But the best was in 1976to1977 2summers spent visiting my dad and Elvis was rolling around town and dropping by at diff nightclubs. He was so down to earth such a beautiful human being inside and out

He was extraordinary He was born between midnight 🕛 and dawn on a Tuesday ( like me ) It was bitter cold and the wind was blowing up a storm his dad remembers seen the whole area around his house was lit up with a blue light 💡 and just at that moment when Elvis was born the wind stopped blowing . Elvis had visualized a blue light in his various healings and meditations rather then the usual white light . His mother had said he was born to be a joy to the world 🌎 ( this is fr. a book Elvis’ Search for God ) Blue was fav. color . The blue light symbolizes the purpose and your mission in life . I think Elvis found his mission and his calling and it’s finally happy 😃.
