Elvis '69 Pt.1: 827 Thomas Street - American Sound Sessions Vinyl & Import CD Set Unboxing
In the first of a four-part series focussing on Elvis in 1969, I talk about the recording sessions which took place at the American Sound Studio in Memphis in January/February '69 and take a look at various vinyl and CD releases which contain the landmark music produced at those sessions.

Thank for this video around the American Sound studio sessions, loved it ⚡️ TCB from Holland, Kees
One very fine episode!! 🎶👌
I really enjoy these series of videos. Very informative.
Great video, as usual👍 I look forward to these every week. Keep up the great work. The 1969 session were/are some of his greatest work. Sublime!!
Good stuff Sean. Really enjoy your reviews. I , like you, love the American Sound Sessions & wish he had returned to record more with Chips. Looking forward to the next video 👍
Hello Sean, another nice video. The 69 sessions are some of my favorites.
Great video , I really wish Elvis had carried on like this , he was pushed to perform which he wanted and loved . You are correct it is Elvis at his best ,Shak was slightly different in Elvis wasn't in a great place personally but here he was . I'm looking forward to the new Memphis 5 disc that's coming out .
Re-released as the cd unsurpassed masters vol. 2.
Your hooked like me. Just buy it.
Great video. If only they had included Suspicious Minds and Kentucky Rain on From Elvis in Memphis it would have been a much bigger album. Incredibly, the album has not been certified platinum in America, which I find very hard to believe.
Great collection, Sean. I seem to remember reading that RCA only had the photos that Parker gave them for the sleeves, and he didn't give them that many. Perhaps that's why the Viva Las Vegas-era photo appears on the back cover of From Elvis in Memphis.
Hi Sean! Your cd of "American Crown Jewels" is surely a copy
Hi Sean, it was great to discover your channel and I have enjoyed all the videos. I think I spent about £200 on books I hadn’t heard of as a result of your recommendations! I recently bought the two big TTWII sets - rehearsals and shows and I’d really be interested to hear your views on TTWII releases. I’ve also just bought the Amiga On Tour set to go with the recent official box and hope you will do something on those as well. I’m in Norfolk so not too far from you?
There's also a bootleg called The other side of Memphis.
Big question why was Stranger in My Home Town not included on From Elvis in Memphis.
No longer BMG
