Man from Germany makes insanely happy and crying at the same time. All time favorite!

Elton John and Bernie Taupin are one of the most long-lived, successful, and amazing song writing teams that ever existed. Love this stuff. (And of course Pure has these clips that she can pull out of her hat and put together as she does so well.) Everyone here sang the songs pretty straightforwardly, except for Pierre Edel and Spleen. Something tells me those two decided to mess around with the song. Inger Lise Hope has a luminous voice and it'll be interesting to see if she wins the Voice Norway. Thanks for making and posting this; it's great.

This collection of covers certainly illustrates the wide ranging and versatile music and lyrics of Elton John and Bernie Taupin respectively...I do find it so wonderful that these songs can be done in so many disparate styles and still convey the message and emotional power we expect. For example, three in a row from Inger Lise Hope to Karl Loxley to Maite Jens gives beautiful nuanced delicate to operatic to folkloric and all are indelibly emotional. And among all these it was lovely also to see one of my favorite years that was the Voice Croatia...many thanks to pureemotion for this multi-year extravaganza with Elton!

Very fitting to have this compilation closely following the Gershwin Prize award to Elton and Bernie. To hear Joni singing "I'm Still Standing" during the ceremony was just amazing. If you haven't heard/seen that video, just search PBS Gershwin. Very well done, Pure!!

I had almost forgotten how incredibly beautiful Emily Keener’s version of “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” was!! Maite Jens had me crying, it was so heartfelt and moving. I think all of the other contestants did a great job, imo, with the exception of Pierre Edel. He never could find the right pitch throughout the song, and it was so unlike his other performances when he competed on the Ukrainian and Russian versions of the Voice. I’m guessing the song selection was a major factor in that, as he’s definitely a rock singer. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thanks, as always, my friend! 💁🏻‍♀️💕👏

Inger Lise Hope... that is the most beautiful voice I've ever heard in my life! The warm tone of your voice, whether at the lower tones or the highest, is just golden to my ears. Wow! You had every judge swooning at your control, tone and vibrato. Just stunning.

Sir Elton John (KB 1998) wrote music and lyrics that are ever unforgettable and relatable. His performance skills are similarly noteworthy. Yet this display goes further, showing how individual artists' interpretations can enhance the values of fine music and great lyrics. I am loving this collection, first to last! 💐💐💖💐💐

Miss Grimstad did an excellent job for Norway 2022, but then, so did Norway's Inger Lise Hope in 2024, both singing the same song. It's a tough to choice to make!

Great selection as always! But there are plenty more of yellow brick and lion king on regular and kids voices. You used to make voice kids videos , now that everyone stopped how about doing it again?!

LOL, the judges are totally confused at Spleen and Pierre Edel's rendition of 'Bennie and The Jets'. I wonder what the French is for piss-take? 🙂 Not a suitable song choice for either, imho.
