Eton and Bernie’s friendship is truly beautiful. Two very different individuals come together out of love to make incredible songs!

I love that Bernie is just up there chillin, being present. I like to imagine he wisely understands how much that act means to us. We need him up there soaking up our sincere love and appreciation. I hope they felt it.

Bernie Taupin's beautiful lyrics have always AMAZED me! It's so good to see his timeless lyric genius being celebrated. Leaning on Elton's piano, so many emotions running across his face... and to his wife and daughter in the audience... incredible! His words more than anything are what has always captured my heart. Bravo to them both!

All in tears for one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Immortal, world heritage.

How beautiful. Made me a little emotional. I have the album. I was so young. Now the problems of aging, losing family and friends. This song took me back to younger, carefree times. Thanks Bernie and Elton.

77 Years old....and he still sounds amazing!!! His voice is still strong, and full...and he can still power up into the higher registers...clean and clear! Easily one of the best ever...and best singer songwriter duo's ever!

👍 I’m about 70 now, and also grew up with Elton’s music (and Bernie’s lyrics) - quite a 🌟 team they’ve been for OVER 5 decades! I think that Elton’s voice AND additional 🎹 playing he’s incorporated in more recent years (even this one shows the difference) has made him even better than way back! * Saw his ‘Farewell’ concerts 2X’s within several months of each other (‘22 or ‘23), and thought he was fabulous in both, as were his other ‘regular’ bandmates 👏!

He can still sing. Yes in concert after 3 hours his voice gets tired m but he can still put across the song. His voice has changed. He is 77. Sorry we age and so do our voices. As for his physical appearance elton fluctuates in weight. Big deal. Get over it

Funny, I grew up a big metal head, Sabbath, Priest, Slayer, Metallica, and later onto Korn and who I consider the greatest band pound for pound currently, TOOL. But what got me started as a young boy was Elton John’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. I would play this album over and over still to this day one of my all time favorites. When I watched Elton finish with this song, this big tough guy, was in his living room with tears pouring from his eyes. Just a beautiful ending, two great individuals who have given us some of the greatest music that will last forever.

You can be a slayer, venom, darkthrone, bathory or whatever metal fan you are. Elton john will always be brilliant along with Bernie Taupin. Then comes the rest of the music world

I got to meet Bernie and his wife at a Houston srt gallery about ten years ago. They were funny, friendly and down to Earth. I had always idolized him and it was a thrill. What a legend.

Oh my gosh, I love "Your Song.". What a beautiful sight, Elton and Bernie, the most awesome team ......past, present, and future❤😭❤️😭❤️😭❤️

Very touching. Together they have written so many enduring classic songs.

Side note-I highly recommend reading Bernie’s memoir, Scattershot. Truly serendipitous how the stars aligned to bring he and Reg together.

Wow. Elton sounds fantastic and I like that he kept this performance so soft. I wonder if Bernie truly wrote “Your Song” for Elton-not necessarily as a romantic piece, but as a promise to his best friend who he knew wanted so desperately to reach great and seemingly impossible heights. Their dreams depended on each other’s talents, and it’s fascinating to think that this song-Bernie’s “gift”-was the key that unlocked the door to all the things he was daydreaming about when he sat on the roof and kicked up the moss. Congrats Elton and Bernie! :)

Until reading your comment, I wouldn't have considered Bernie writing this not in a romantic way... but like you said, for Elton. 🙂I fully believe you are right. It makes perfect sense. You could see Bernies true affection for Elton all over his face, and the lyrics of course. Beautiful!

The greatest pop songwriting duo that ever existed. I bought all of their records when I was growing up. I remember playing Captain Fantastic & The Brown Dirt Cowboy over and over and over and could never get enough of it.

I saw Elton John in 1972. My very first concert. He did hand stands on the piano. Madman Across the Water had just been released. I will never forget it. ❤

Totally moving, the genuine and long term love and respect between these two geniuses, alive and magical, in its maturity. What an atmosphere for those present!

Elton John's voice is still there

Oh gosh. I remember seeing Elton and Bernie coming into the bookstore where I worked in Buckhead Atlanta. The Oxford Bookstore. They had one of the first coffee shops in an independent bookstore called the Cup and Chaucer. Seriously this was so freaking cool.

He sounds as amazing as ever! He is a huge part of the sountrack of my life!

🤔 I thought THIS ‘Your Song’ performance could easily have been meant as a ‘dedication’ to Bernie, as his 50+ decades lyrics partner. Seeing him in person alongside Elton with tears of sadness in his eyes, looking down - face in his hands, remembering all those years, and/or realizing this could be the end of their journey. I’m 70ish and truly sorry 😥 Elton’s retiring from more public concert performances - and when (imo) he hasn’t lost his 🌟 talent by any means!

Sounding really good. First LP i bought was Tumbleweed Conection. Went on to get them all. I'm 70 this year still playing them. Shook Elton's hand at a concert in Brisbane 1983 i think. Congratulations Elton and Bernie.

You know what was the best thing growing up a Elton John fan, practically every year at eirher Christmas time or my birthday, and depending on when he would release new records in America at Easter time i would get elron John records , man what a time to be growing up.............. Elton and Bernie's music is the catalog of my life........

@@baybae92 he cant sustain falsetto notes whatever he had left after the surgery deteriorated with vigorous touring. but still he did use quite a bit of falsetto in 2022/2023 in his tour. sometimes hitting high c5 falsetto notes in levon and frequent bb4s. so yeah he still cand use a bit of falsetto
