gezel sings with more conviction, so distinctive, she knows her strengths well

Elsa’s value proposition is vulnerability and soulfulness. This song despite being a seeming ballad requires more power vocal and even rough desperation. It didn’t really suit her style

I really like gezel voice..she's only 12 yrs. old...but slaying the atages,,,i think she pick the wrong judge for this season,,i hope she can come back again...i think she will become a star...

i’m in the U.S. (so my access to The Voice Australia is limited to videos i can find on KZread) and all i’ve seen from this battle is this clip. i can’t find a video with the commentary afterwards…is it true they were both sent home?!?

The bigger one is 18. The little one is only 12

I love and I'm jealous of harmonies that are close together in tones. I don't know the technical term but it's hard to execute without being pitchy or dissonance. Me being classically train just usually goes for a higher octave.

Not quite sure why people are saying that Elsa is a kid? That’s what the show was promoting. She is a fully grown adult in Australia. She is 18. Gezel is 12. Big difference. Rita took Emily through to the Semis and she is 19!!! Thus show is so scripted. PS. Elsa was extremely pitchy. The clear winner was Gezel

No. Why would they pick that song for these two young ladies? It doesn't fit their voice at all and both have very different voices. I'll never ever ever understand why the judges pick some of the songs that they pick for these singer's especially the younger singer's.

She gave Gezel some stupid popsongs.. her voice was way better with Aretha's song.. If Rita gave her more blues,jazz or motownsongs to sing, Gaza would won the show..

I can't watch the girl in pink sing, too many weird facial expressions. I know that's weird it's just a pet peeve if mine. I feel the same about Lea Michele as well.

I don't get how this season is structured. It makes no sense. These two have a battle and their reward is that they both get eliminated

I think Rita made a huge mistake that gazel omg she is so talented for her age I don't think this song made her shine like she could of and that's Rita's fault but I think to that they both should form together

Love this song, but I'm not sure if I like this battle.

These girls where both amazing for there ages. But it’s so sad that none of them got picked as it’s some unfair for both these girls. It would’ve been fair if one of these girls got picked and one of the others 😢

I completely disagreed with Rita (aka my least favourite coach since she even started coaching on this show) taking through that other duo, these 2 were way better, it may seem childish (I mean I am 12-) but the fact that these 2 were taken out ruined my night tbh…

Could have chosen more age appropriate song for both.

Unpopular opinion: They both have great voices but compared to the other performances I'm not surprised they didn't get through. They hit notes yeah but there was no momentum moment in this performance. It lacked presence massively.

@@magikat7 The official rules were for Rita to choose one person from each battle, so from Nyree and Tarryn, Elsa and Gezel, Emily and Levi X(I believe?), then the winners out of each battle, Rita had to choose 2 people that went to the sing for your life and one person goes to semis. So in the end probably, if Rita did it right whoever went through out of gezel and Elsa probably would’ve gone home in the end.

the kid is great. but in ky own opinion. shes not ready yet.

Elsa is a hood finger when she stays in her lane/genre only. Gezel has nailed every song - all very different genres. In fact this was a ballad dnd should have been a better choice for Elsa but she was very pitchy/flat (in the last third) and it sounded like a karaoke with no unique choices.
